Arnold's only in it cos i was thinking briefly about the forthcoming Terminator film earlier in the day...i think the sister thing comes from the film Signs which i was also thinking about at some point...i regularly have dreams featuring people and environments from my past which may be down to regrets of some kind or just cos i like nostalgia generally...and i guess the food triggered the chemicals in my brain which make you dream bad!
so, er, had any interesting bad dreams lately?!

I was awake maybe 90 minutes trying to get over it, but every lapse back into sleep led to further haunting. Groo.

But they don't have any guns, for some strange reason, and I always get away, so that's alright.

I think it means you have hidden fantasies about spending long nights out in the wilderness with your father, going fishing and lighting fires and making animal noises and sleeping in a tent after an evening of buggering tenderly.

i had another one where the boys from Hanson squirted mustard at me in Burger King so I killed them and got arrested. Then one of the cops killed the other one and then himself leaving the police car to crash into a wall. So I escaped.

When I worked there, I got nightmares fairly often - where I was endlessly running behind and couldn't catch up, and it was like a funhouse restaurant, always discovering new sections. That was OK, I thought the job was pretty stressful, and it was my first full-time, make-lots-of-money job.
But having nightmares about a bullshit menial waiting job, three years after you quit/get fired - WTF?

So I woke up this morning wanted to kill every fucker in the world ever, and I still felt like this well after an hour of getting out of bed.
Just horrible dreams where all my friends hated me and were trying to avoid me. I'd wake up annoyed, fall asleep, and have the same bloody dream but in a different location.
One nice dream in the middle of all this though was the one where I befriended two squirrels, and tried to teach them all about what being a human was like - including why we have thumbs.

i had a slightly similar dream: i was in this huge hall in a strange city that i was visiting for some unknown reason, and i saw a really old friend of mine. i went to say hello, and she gave me this horrible look, like, "bitch!" and started talking to someone else. i think this may have stemmed from my guilt over the fact that her daughter just turned a year old, and i still haven't met her. i've been promising to go stay with them for about 2 years.
then i had a dream that my ex's crazy brother-in-law was chasing me.
i woke up feeling rather unhappy.

http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/39343000/gif/_39343154_sleeping_416.gif i find that my choice of sleeping position deeply affects the (un)pleasantness of my dreams, so i guess you could try adopting a new one if you're desperate for change. my favorite is the "soldier".

I had the freakiest dream (the last nite I was in Tokyo): I was walking with dad near the sea and kept asking when she sea would end. It suddenly turned from sand into brick (looking like sand). Very freaky.

nightmares last night, and involving my all time favourite thing - zombies!
So it started off as a bit of a game, one half of the planet were going to 'pretend' to be zombies and the rest of us were going to run and hide. But it turned out that the zombies were real.
About 20 of us lay hidden barricaded in one house, we had to keep quiet because even if just one zombie had heard us in there we'd have the whole hord ripping the place apart. I remember one horrible moment while we were all stood there still as ice when a zombie face appeared at the window looking in.
Things went horrible when a couple of guys with us noticed that they'd actually gotten some scratches, and started to feel ill. uh!
The other zombie dream last night was more pleasant, although still messed my head. Me and a sole surviving friend had taken refuge in an old Victorian mansion, it had been turned into apartments and hotel rooms. Then all of a sudden hundreds of people returned home there and started asking us why we'd broken half their furniture and garden fences.

I've had school/university dreams for the last 2-3 years after moving away from Michigan in 2004.
Problem is that moving back to Ann Arbor is a nightmare for me, and school dreams always mean 'michigan + university', so it's double stress nightmare whammy.
I think it's to the point where I have school stress dreams at least 3-4x a week.
― kingfish, Friday, 3 April 2009 11:30 (seventeen years ago)
uh school stress dreams are the worst, i get them sometimes. it usually involves me not having done my homework.
for the past few weeks i've been having a recurring dream, but it's impossible to describe. i only ever remember a section of road from the dream, it's always the same section.

I had the worst dream I have ever had, and I need to talk about it somewhere. I didn't even want to tell my wife the details. My 18-month-old daugher, K, went to the hospital and it turned out she had some kind of "aneurysm" that was terminal. But to make things worse, the hospital's procedure was to have terminally ill children shot with rifles. They asked me to do it and I wouldn't, so my wife did it. I remember that the rifle looked sort of fake and skeletal, like something for a game. The dream continued for a long time after my daughter died, and I was completely devastated.
Toward the end of the dream, I was trying to figure out whether I should go back to my work, and it occurred to me that I had an old job offer from some larger company, and for some reason this whole series of events meant in the dream that I should think about taking the offer, but I don't know what the connection was supposed to be.
Interpretations?
