Real posters you don't have to Google only.

Matt DC, Saturday, 12 August 2017 11:01 (ten months ago) Permalink

didn't we lose the liverpool title in recent years? we're in the hunt for little more than fourth, if anyone deserves to be given the "will fuck up the title no matter what" based on recent years it's spurs.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Saturday, 12 August 2017 11:17 (ten months ago) Permalink

I think you'll be heavily involved in the title race this year, give or take a new defensive signing or two.

Matt DC, Saturday, 12 August 2017 11:30 (ten months ago) Permalink

Salah / Manè should be fantastic.

Wag1 Shree Rajneesh (ShariVari), Saturday, 12 August 2017 11:32 (ten months ago) Permalink

Also putting Spurs in the thread title will only encourage people.

Matt DC, Saturday, 12 August 2017 11:32 (ten months ago) Permalink

Fullback situation looks very dodgy for Liverpool though.

Matt DC, Saturday, 12 August 2017 11:34 (ten months ago) Permalink

they look brittle and scared every time watford have the ball in and around the box tbh. fucking joke to still be so bad at the back.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:02 (ten months ago) Permalink

Going to be 4-3 again.

Wag1 Shree Rajneesh (ShariVari), Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:04 (ten months ago) Permalink

Mignolet there going for the counter and obligingly rolling the ball straight to a Watford player.

Matt DC, Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:12 (ten months ago) Permalink

Stop calling him Okaku ffs.

Matt DC, Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:14 (ten months ago) Permalink

Liverpool look flat as fuck here

put your hands on the car and get ready to die (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:14 (ten months ago) Permalink

Firmino has been completely anonymous and none of this back four looks remotely like Champions League standard.

Matt DC, Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:18 (ten months ago) Permalink

Salah's shooting has been pretty entertaining

put your hands on the car and get ready to die (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:28 (ten months ago) Permalink

henderson the worst culprit but can has no real creativity either. would take a draw here in an instant.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:33 (ten months ago) Permalink

truth is liverpool will concede at least one more in this game, at the very least that is. they might score another.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:33 (ten months ago) Permalink

how can a pro deny that is a penalty? like it couldn't be more obvious.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:46 (ten months ago) Permalink

So Firmino is playing after all.

Good too be back, EPL.

Le Bateau Ivre, Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:47 (ten months ago) Permalink

my stream broke as firmino was about to hit the penalty - terrifying.

xpost also hooray for salah's first goal

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:47 (ten months ago) Permalink

Two games, 12 goals is pretty good going.

Matt DC, Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:48 (ten months ago) Permalink

Even allowing for inflation, Firmino must be worth at least 6 Tony Galvins.

calzino, Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:49 (ten months ago) Permalink

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:56 (ten months ago) Permalink

Falling apart indeed, but even this breakaway from Watford leads to comedy capers in Pool's defense

Le Bateau Ivre, Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:57 (ten months ago) Permalink

i think the problems in the defence are so deep that one player won't fix them, even if they can sign vvd or whatever. there's a rot there for a long time now.

calzino, Saturday, 12 August 2017 13:07 (ten months ago) Permalink

can't believe it's going to be another season of butt-clenching scorelines like this in the last 15 mins. some lost, some held.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Saturday, 12 August 2017 13:08 (ten months ago) Permalink

could be a blessing in disguise, as they might try and get vvd after all now

Le Bateau Ivre, Saturday, 12 August 2017 13:11 (ten months ago) Permalink

just need to southampton grant vvd his dream while preventing coutinho from making the worst decision of his life.

it's got 67.1% yes votes on DATM, so not a complete design travesty like the Leeds one, but not quite blanket approval! I think it's ok.

It is sort of linked to all that "Terrier mentality" bollox from the marketing dept, where we try market ourselves as a small club, whilst spending £17m on a defender. It wears a bit thin for me, prem money is so ridic these days - the smallness of small club ain't quite what it used to be!

calzino, Monday, 11 June 2018 09:45 (one week ago) Permalink

but at least it is traditional part of the club's identity.

calzino, Monday, 11 June 2018 09:45 (one week ago) Permalink

I'm more happier with the signs at Hudds station reminding any passing Leeds fans that we are indeed still an EPL club. And they haven't bothered advertising Leeds season tickets on Northumberland St for a few years now!

calzino, Monday, 11 June 2018 09:57 (one week ago) Permalink

100k per week seems cheap in context for alli to sign

Just for comparison, Celtic's highest transfer fee paid is £6m - for Sutton in 2000 and Hartson in 2001. By the way, the top 3 transfer fees paid for a Celtic player are from the same club - the football colossus that is Southampton FC. And people wonder why Celtic can't compete in Europe.

We can be herpes (Tom D.), Monday, 11 June 2018 12:02 (one week ago) Permalink

some butthurt Newcastle Utd fan wrote a blog about what a disgrace it is that a tinpot clubs like Town, Brighton and Bournemouth have all smashed their transfer record in the last few years.

calzino, Monday, 11 June 2018 12:15 (one week ago) Permalink

It's not much fun being a feeder club for Southampton.

We can be herpes (Tom D.), Monday, 11 June 2018 12:21 (one week ago) Permalink

My heart would bleed for you Tom but your financial resources are ridiculous in terms of the SPFL (6-9 times the wage bill of Aberdeen and Hearts, not to mention million pound+ transfer fees). More money in transfer fees to Celtic would make it even more of a procession.

In terms of the English Premier League that 6-9 multiplier is the difference in wage bill between top spenders Man City and 17th to 20th .

I'm Finn thanks, don't mention it (fionnland), Tuesday, 12 June 2018 07:35 (one week ago) Permalink

Patricio confirmed for Wolves, softens the Cav blow more than a bit

The Savic Detectives (Noodle Vague), Monday, 18 June 2018 17:11 (six days ago) Permalink

I figured some big dog would be coming in. I think Cav is a bit more of an exciting prospect than VLP was! Goodness the hubris of VLP talking about how Town are just a "stepping stone" for him last season, yeah I'm sure the likes of Internazionale are on the case!

calzino, Monday, 18 June 2018 18:35 (six days ago) Permalink

Oh Cav is 10 times the player VLP is. I'm only raising my doubts in the interest of honesty, he was a big player for us last season.

The Savic Detectives (Noodle Vague), Monday, 18 June 2018 18:37 (six days ago) Permalink

I meant Patricio>Wolves as the big dog obv, but as blase as I'm getting about £10m + signings - Cav is still a very "big dog" signing for us!

calzino, Monday, 18 June 2018 18:56 (six days ago) Permalink

Yeah I get ya. This is total unknown territory for us too, enjoying getting angry with dickheads who want us to sign a "20 goal a season striker" like they *still* don't understand the system

The Savic Detectives (Noodle Vague), Monday, 18 June 2018 18:58 (six days ago) Permalink

from what I've been reading he's got some impressive end product and a tremendous work rate, somehow we managed to get out of the champo without a player like that, and then survive a prem season with the same deficiency!

calzino, Monday, 18 June 2018 19:09 (six days ago) Permalink

I'm sort of excited because him going implies a like for like replacement to me and God knows

Or

This could be the start of the "club as business" phase, for Fosun and Mendes

The Savic Detectives (Noodle Vague), Monday, 18 June 2018 19:11 (six days ago) Permalink

the Belgium press are reporting we've already signed another winger, Anthony Limbombe from Club Brugge for 12m euros, so VLP can get his dream move to bigger club now!

calzino, Tuesday, 19 June 2018 08:21 (five days ago) Permalink

Looks like the Cav move to Town has broken down:( or :)!

calzino, Tuesday, 19 June 2018 20:11 (five days ago) Permalink

Dutch midfielder Juninho Bacuna (Groningen) is off to Huddersfield, apparently.

lbi's life of limitless european glamour (Le Bateau Ivre), Wednesday, 20 June 2018 10:01 (four days ago) Permalink

as long as he's competition for Mooy, rather than a replacement, I'm cool!

calzino, Wednesday, 20 June 2018 10:12 (four days ago) Permalink

He's way too inexperienced to replace Mooy, but tbh I think it's a good (and cheap) gamble! He's young and brash but undeniably talented. Dutch top 3 (PSV, Ajax, Feyenoord) have been sleeping on him.

lbi's life of limitless european glamour (Le Bateau Ivre), Wednesday, 20 June 2018 10:21 (four days ago) Permalink

that's good to hear, and Mooy says he wants to stay at Town anyway, and isn't the type for bullshit player blandishments and he clearly values his relationship with Wagner.
