I get a lot of emails at work and a few people are keen to display their qualifications e.g. Joe Bloggs BSc (Hons) IEng CBIFM, John Smith BA MCMI etc Do you do find it useful to see someone's qualifications/memberships or is it just the worst kind of (humble)bragging?

When I see these I'm always reminded of Arnold J Rimmer BSC SSC (if you haven't seen it these stand for "bronze swimming certificate" and "silver swimming certificate")

Someone I knew when I was at technical college used to joke that he was going to go to university and get a degree mainly so his kids would have to call him "Dad BSc".
