because of my appreciation for the timing of a outis post late in last month's thread + my inordinate amusement that after the past however many decades of bitching the republicans are ramming through a $1.5 trillion deficit this month

I'm sad because I was hoping for "your favorite president (me)" in the thread title.

they're doing that this month + it's a cheap set up to my gratuitous pavement reference. i could point out that according to the lofty title standards you're setting forth here that every december we are looking forward (whether ironically or sincerely) to the next year and the midterms in fact happen every two years -- much more frequently than republicans "reform" the tax code -- but i'll keep that to myself
