I've got one of her books of short stories at home. Not read it yet and I'm not sure whether I will like it or not. Someone gave me it who didn't like it and then my sister read a couple of stories from it and she wasn't really amused. So???

Yeh, one about some people in a college town and a wife being left and ting. I can't really remember it. I think it was very nice but not very exciting. Scuse my poor memory (and see 'do you reread' thread).

I also have a memory of reading a novel about some alien cult in the middle of nowhere and what happened to them after the spaceship never came. It has an anthropologist or a sociologist in it. I'm convinced it was by Lurie but I never managed to track it down again (I'm not 100% sure that I didn't make it up myself, in which case HELLO NaNoWriMo (and then doubtless HELLO large lawsuit)). Mark if you bump up against this on your travels or anyone else knows about it please put me out of my misery.

Yeah, I've read 'Foreign Affairs' which (if I can remember it correctly) was all abt middle aged profs having affairs in a foreign country, would you believe... It was perfectly fine, but nothing mindblowingly amazing...
