Pour one out.

My favorite part was the notion of checks and balances. That seemed like a pretty good idea for a while.

I mean I get that it's a little premature inasmuch as we don't know what the new name of this piece of land will be (I texted my vote for Trumpsylvania but I guess we'll see!). But like what else are you going to do while you sit around the hospice, read that issue of People from 1997 for a third time?

I remeber the streets of America, they were paved with the guns we weren't using anymore so that if you ever lost any of the multiple guns you carryed on you all the time you could just chip another one out of the roadbed, easy.

how did we go so wrong to stray from the founders' glorious vision of a land where black people were slaves and women weren't allowed to vote

One of the oddest features of the coloring book American history most prominent pundits are working off of is the erasure of the early 20th century, which was also incredibly violent and fractious. https://t.co/5cDkdVHomv

what's struck me most over the past two years is how many people treat "american history" and "world history" as two entirely unrelated topics. i guess that's understandable, since that's how we were taught, but it's still stupid.
