Can't decide whether to watch Mildred Pierce, say, on Criterion or some Guy Maddin, for instance, on Kanopy, or just say the heck with it.

Guy Maddin has done some shorter things. (If I pick at all, I often end up going for something <90mins.)

I wound up watching all but one of the Columbia noirs on CC -- skipped the Fred Macmurray one.

Think I might put on my JLG sunglasses and watch the first few minutes of a bunch of those.

And do the same for Guy Maddin.

Seriously, though, I wonder what the sum total of all these streaming services will cost monthly? (And that's assuming they never launch Hasbro+ or General Mills+ or Disney Basic Needs)

Imma max out at like two that I'll actually pay for and then will shamelessly pir@ate everything I want to see from the others until these knuckleheads get their shit together and create some sort of sensible streaming package plan. This nonsense is like every cable network thinking they have the goods to declare themselves a premium channel. Well, you don't, you goobers. You just don't.

I'm still at four right now, if I include Amazon (which I didn't get for streaming) and Criterion (which I sort of treat like a charity). I can't imagine paying for any more than my four. I definitely can't imagine paying any service to watch sitcom reruns. I can't even imagine having the time to watch all the original shit being promised/threatened by services like Disney, even if I wanted to. I still haven't watched the Deadwood movie, and that's one of my favorite shows of all time.
