Not to be an astrology pedant but "scorpio new moon as we pass through scorpio" is redundant; the new moon occurs when it occupies the same zodiacal degree as the sun, so every new moon occurs in the same sign as the sun

well SO FAR the legendary screwed-up communication side of mercury retrograde has been anything but!
1: i got a friendly response for a pitch to a new outlet (= no to the actual pitch but yes to pitching other things plus a nice apology for taking time to to reply) 2: i got a bit of news abt another element in another project which in an oblique way somewhat makes it easier to shape my element 3: i got a lovely letter out of the blue abt my first book, including a request to pitch another similar (also with an apology, for taking 15 yrs to read the book before replying lol)
this was all today
(admittedly google chrome was misbehaving all morning as well -- rather more typical retrogradism -- but this meant i got a lot of boring filing done while the internet was down so)

4: someone who interviewed me for the book is moving to a grown-up paper in a section editor role and asks me if i'd be interested in contributing now and then (caveat: he hasn't started yet and isn't quite sure for now how much commissioning he'll be able to do)
