this is tough! might need to revisit Two Lovers before I vote but I'm leaning Z

I really noticed him after We Own the Night, which looked like another genre piece but given new life thanks to editing and framing choices.

I thought Ad Astra was a backwards step and quite bang average and forgettable nonsense after the previous two being so excellent. Did Brad Pitt take over the show or something?

For me it's definitely Z, but I like all of these quite a bit.

little odessa, of the ones I've seen (which is just that, we own the night, and ad astra)

i finally saw Little Odessa a week ago and found it fairly rough going; thought Maximilian Schell gave the best performance, with Tim Roth doing his third-rate Brando/de Niro thing.
