I have no idea what any of this is about, but this seems to be a rough month for ILX in general. I know I've been moody as fuck lately and I imagine a lot of you have as well. Probably has something to do with seeing the end of Covid apparently within touching distance but not knowing when we'll get there. I'm trying to ease off on my internet consumption lately, and I approve of anyone giving themselves a mental health break from ILX and/or the internet if they need to. That said, Neanderthal, you're great, and I hope you don't leave for good.

Echoing Lily Dale, I really hope Neanderthal doesn't leave. He's a good source of levity and humor around here, which is in short supply as of late. But I also know COVID overload is wreaking havoc with people's temperaments and mental health, so I can understand the need for a break.

Everyone is hypersensitive atm or hyperpeevish or perhaps even vacillating between those states with an occasional stopover in hypersadland or hyperblitzedville. In short, we're all varying degrees of A Mess right now so it doesn't hurt to strive for kindness. Also, PS, Neanderthal (and anyone else who needs it) is allowed to take a break but not allowed to leave. It is forbidden.

been reading threads on occasion the last few weeks (mostly COVID ones). like Karl/Zach said above, there was a lot more going on, I was in a mental health black hole and I'm much better now after a few weeks off and with things settling down a bit in my personal life.
