This is a general thread for non-musician biographies (since we have a thread for that).

I’m mostly starting this because I’m wondering if anyone can recommend a good Jesse Jackson biography.

It's probably 20 years since I read it but I thoroughly enjoyed Dotson Rader's Tennessee Wiliams biog Cry of The Heart. It was very funny and gossipy and sad which seemed quite fitting.

d mac I did read a book by O'Toole once decades ago and can't remember wtf it was called, it was in rambling luvvie speak and I remember a passage about his dad working as a bet settler in a pre-legal bookies or something like that and it was quite good.
