obv when vauxhall motors came to loftus rd on tuesday but anyway i rather liked this film yesterday nite. anyone see it?

i always wondered if people pre-60s just breathlessly chatted with an maddening lack of pauses or whether it was bad acting du jour. also can anyone warble their singing now like they did then?

it was kind of like an episode of outer limits without the overt 1/2 hr moral dilemma; instead futile hopeless scrabbling amid inexorable doom

I thought its screening was in very poor taste, given the current firefighters' strike.

Are witches on strike too? Hubble bubble!

They should have had a warning that burning witches during the strike would be dangerous. We have had emails at work from our Fire Officer which, in summary, say "Can you please try not to burn the place down while there is a strike."

The smoking room has been closed but I never went in there much because it stinks and crackles.

What's more strange is that we can no longer smoke outside the back door but have to do it a little further along the wall, outside the kitchen windows. I can't see that things are any less inflammable there. It is pecualiar.

Also, the lifts are shut outside of certain hours of the day. Do people get trapped more in the evenings?

The memo at uni basically says if you evacuate quickly there is no extra risk cos there wouldn't be any risk anyway cos evacuation rox.

I'm wondering why N's smoking room 'crackles'?

It's odd. Like one of those insect killers. I think there are faulty electrics in the extractor fans. It's probably for the best that it has closed.
