I miss whole days where I do nothing

I never seem to have time to sit around and do nothing anymore. It's starting to really PISS ME OFF! GAAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!

Anyways, I'm either working in the shop, doing college work, in college, hanging with the bird, out with friends...I never have days when I amn't doing ANY of these, or even have a large chunk of the day with nothing to do. That may seem like a good thing, but really, it isn't (for me). I need a few days to sit around and do absolutely nothing. Without intrusion. I'm VERY VERY FRUSTRATED! It's not like I find my life tiring, or anything. I don't work very hard, and I get plenty of sleep. It's just...oh I don't know...GARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!

Maybe over Christmas, but I dunno. Do you have time to do nothing? Do you have TOO MUCH time to do nothing? Anyone feel the same?

I have no desire to do nothing. There is too much for me to fit in to the time I have as it is.

Doing nothing makes you sterile.

Do you actually recall enjoying the doing fucking nothing or are you just yearning for it because it's been a long time since you've been left with a dope beat to vegetate to? (beat=amount of time)

I miss the days when I did things. All I seem to do now is nothing. Do you want to swap rotas some time, Kilian?

Eyeball Kicks (Eyeball Kicks), Saturday, 30 November 2002 21:21 (twenty-three years ago)

no i get it killian and i have the same problem. it is like every single day there is something you HAVE to go to, or do, or someone you have to see etc. no days where you can wake up and think "aaaahhhhhh lovely, a whole day to myself, no demands, no intrusions, just some free time".
i am going slowly but surely nuts without any 'nothing days'.

You get frustrated at doing nothing all day. F'sTRAYted, even.

Michael Bourke, Saturday, 30 November 2002 21:34 (twenty-three years ago)

Maaaannn... I will swap you all! The only thing I've done all weekend is paint my new room. And invent a new drink. And stare at dirty dronerock boys at aaaahhhhrrt parties. Please, I will swap you all this empty boring time that I spend doing nothing for something to do. someone else can sit and write Julesmut, please...

i understand perfectly! i like the things i do but i don't feel like a real person doing them unless i have time spent doing nothing. only i'm surrounded by people saying "DO SOMETHING ALREADY!" so i really, really like driving places because there is nothing i have to do while on the way somewhere.

"Do you actually recall enjoying the doing fucking nothing"

Yes!

See, to do lots of stuff makes the doing nothing bit so much sweeter!

Michael Bourke, Sunday, 1 December 2002 03:30 (twenty-three years ago)

i would like one doing nothing day per week. maybe we can legislate it into being?

Dave M. (rotten03), Sunday, 1 December 2002 03:40 (twenty-three years ago)

Kate, forgive my impudence, but you appear to have a "dirty dronerock boys" mania. Why are they dirty? Do you object to melodic rock? It sounds like an NMEism to me but then again, I'm just a relatively clean living boy who likes the odd tune.

Understatement of the decade.

Maria, do you like travelling on trains?

maryann (maryann), Sunday, 1 December 2002 07:06 (twenty-three years ago)

I do nothing often. It's not a great thing to do.

jel -- (jel), Sunday, 1 December 2002 09:47 (twenty-three years ago)

yes. i am categorically opposed to melodic rock and soap. this is true.

(i nearly forgot the soap at my old house and had to go back and get it. is that a bar of soap in your pants or are you just glad to see me jokes etc. etc.)

kate, Sunday, 1 December 2002 16:18 (twenty-three years ago)

maryann, yes, but there are no trains where i live.

Maria (Maria), Sunday, 1 December 2002 16:39 (twenty-three years ago)

doing nothing is great. i'd hate to always have stuff to do.
