Help Needed

ITV are in desperate need of explanations for why Javine, the only near-talented girl on Popstars, was tonight ejected. Excuses other than "it's a fix" and "she's so unwhite" would be good. Can you help?

She was too talented, would have shown the others up for the karaoke wannabees that they all are.
Plus she was just too tall, would have made photoshoots awkward.
I have only ever seen 20 mins of this (last night) Why is it that none of them can sing?

Yipes, I actually dreamt about this thread last night, I was posting a 30-page essay on how this means you should all watch Lemar on Fame Academy instead, and then musing on how when it goes to the public vote and he sings for survival for the first time he might actually be out despite being the teachers' favourite and arguably the best, not necessarily because of any prejudice among the viewers but because he's the one who jokes around with the others and to camera least, so presumably fewer people will be thinking, "aw, never mind the song, he's such a nice guy and he works so hard and..." AAARGH! It's coming true!!

*dies*

(hooray hooray ainslie is still in he's not the best musically by a long way but he does have the best hair oops i've turned into one of those stereotypical pop fans that rockists have so much fun laughing at *dies again*)

I had thought Javine the best of the girls until last night's show, but I thought she was less outstanding then, partly because the song, associated with Chaka Khan, maybe made Javine's voice sound weak rather than elegant. Last night I thought Sarah was much the best, with Javine and Cheryl the next best. I couldn't believe that it came down to Javine and Sarah at the end. I'm not inclined to jump at the racism explanation too quickly, especially as last week we ended up with two black members of the boy band.
