Is there another thread for uncling and aunting advice? If not, has parenthood turned anyone's sibling into an emotionally fragile, tantrum-throwing mess?

Morbs, I wish I had some advice but I don't. I read once upon a time that whatever the parents are like isn't reflected in their kids, but amplified in their kids, and it's totally true. Calm, chill parents will have calm, chill kids; highstrung parents will have highstrung kids...etc etc, but moreso.
― WmC, Wednesday, 18 May 2011 14:36 (fifteen years ago)
has parenthood turned anyone's sibling into an emotionally fragile, tantrum-throwing mess?
my sister actually is a lot more highly strung since she had kids, and kinda has that thing where she's incapable of thinking about anything that isn't the kids, eg if somebody laughs at christmas and they're in bed etc there's a civil war. or just generally sometimes her behaviour is a bit wild, one time recently she was staying with me in london and went mental because of sleeping arrangements, with not even a whit of "i'm staying in someone else's flat" reserve. i do think it's a thing for some people when they have kids that they suddenly are appalled if others have a life that does not revolve around the kids, and i love my sister and the kids, but my brother isn't like this at all...massive difference.
no prizes for guessing whose kids are better behaved.
