I have moved. Now I wish to collapse.

I will do that tomorrow at my parents', though. Good grief, what a crazy weekend -- the moveout went very smoothly, the unpacking will happen as it does, the issues of finishing up and cleaning out the old house are lingering worries.

But I don't care. I'm out and over and in an apartment by myself for the first time EVER. Thank heavens!

Do we get to watch as Ned slowly loses his mind?

Well done Ned.

Graham (graham), Sunday, 22 December 2002 23:54 (twenty-three years ago)

Aw, our little Ned is all grown up!

Kim (Kim), Monday, 23 December 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I think it was already lost some weeks ago. This just made it more so.

I would have had a place on my own some time back if the money had allowed for it. And it has. So rock. Oh god my head (I ran into a garage door moving stuff around at the old place today and I have the aching noggin from hell...).

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 23 December 2002 00:05 (twenty-three years ago)

Yay for Ned! Moving sucks, but moving into your very own place is worth it!

rosemary (rosemary), Monday, 23 December 2002 00:15 (twenty-three years ago)

Just get some sleep. In no time you'll be rejoicing in your fabulous bachelor pad.

j.lu (j.lu), Monday, 23 December 2002 00:27 (twenty-three years ago)

No dancing though, y'hear?

Graham (graham), Monday, 23 December 2002 00:33 (twenty-three years ago)

Yay Ned!

Mary (Mary), Monday, 23 December 2002 02:20 (twenty-three years ago)

Hooray for your new home! I hope your head's ok now, though.

lyra (lyra), Monday, 23 December 2002 03:37 (twenty-three years ago)

Congrats, Ned--living alone can be addictive. If it seems a bit lonely sometimes, just think back to every roommate you have had who paid bills late, ate your food and drank your beer.

webcrack (music=crack), Monday, 23 December 2002 05:56 (twenty-three years ago)

Have fun in your new pad ned!!!

jel -- (jel), Monday, 23 December 2002 10:05 (twenty-three years ago)

Ned can now masturbate in total privacy to MBV! Hurray for Neds new place!

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 23 December 2002 14:27 (twenty-three years ago)

Chris is right, the apartment will probably look like some LOTR love dungeon with MBV soundtracking the backround, since there are no roomates to complain. Congrats Ned!

Nicole (Nicole), Monday, 23 December 2002 14:31 (twenty-three years ago)

urrgghh dude.

jel -- (jel), Monday, 23 December 2002 14:32 (twenty-three years ago)

Chris and Nicole are SICK SICK SICK.

However...

Yesterday my friends Chris (another one) and Chelsea were visiting and helped me shift some stuff around, bless their hearts. Given the size of the place -- 650 sq. ft or so -- the bookcases, stereo system, computer desk, etc. are all out in the living room. There's a walk-in closet and some storage, but in general there was no other arrangement for the Raggettstacks but this: float the bed in the middle of the bedroom, put the bureau against the wall behind it, and along every other wall put up all the Raggettstacks.

Chelsea, being a woman of Great Worth and Great Humor, looked at this admittedly silly but still practical arrangement and had to laugh. Her exact words: "You know, in most single guys' bedrooms, they have up erotic pictures or stuff like that. You've just got *music* everywhere! It's Nedporn!"

And there we are. ;-)

just think back to every roommate you have had who paid bills late, ate your food and drank your beer.

Or the one last year who owes me $600. Who rather cravenly got hold of me for the first time in a year a couple of days ago and said, "Er, I'll try to help begin to pay back my debt by helping you move." Nice try.

Where's my invitation to yr housewarming party? It appears to have got lost in the post!

There will in fact be a housewarming party at some point. Transportation here to it is your affair. ;-) All LA area peoples are commanded to attend on pain of death.

And my head is feeling better (not quite there but much better than yesterday) and I hope yer move goes well Vic and etc. etc. And yes, I already love my new situation about eight million times more than the previous one.

(laugh) Another classic Chelsea moment....

Still, who knows you better than your mates?

Time for the orgies, chocolate pudding in the bath and the blow-up
dolls. Just remember to hide that portrait of yourself; evidence of your real age would scare the neighbours.

And yes, I already love my new situation about eight million times more than the previous one.

How difficult would that be?;>

Another legendary party missed, eh? Damn, guess I'll just have to wait for the live stream.

Finally found your slice of heaven? 'Bout time! (Swear I'd heard that comment before;>)

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Monday, 23 December 2002 17:44 (twenty-three years ago)

j.lu (j.lu), Tuesday, 24 December 2002 01:49 (twenty-three years ago)

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Tuesday, 24 December 2002 01:54 (twenty-three years ago)

Aha, not only should I also have a "housewarming" (more like single-apt-warming) partee, but we should ALL have house-partees, even those who live in old, already-warm houses!

We should each go t and visit everyon e's house one night no matter how long it takes and then everyone just drive over to the next house !! the way everyone drives in their own car in Swingers!some of you live in the Valley so this willl take a long, long time so it should happen on a sunday morning!! and then everyone gets totally sloshed at the last house!! yEAy!!!

Vik (Vic), Tuesday, 24 December 2002 03:01 (twenty-three years ago)
