I also have a cold because I have to go to college again and study for exams next week and my car is dead. Yes I know "how awful etc etc" but I was used to driving so I'll moan all I want.

Eat lots of hot spicy food. That seems to work for me. Garlic is supposed to be helpful, as are handfuls of Echinacea. Possibly eat more oranges or take vitamin C tablets.

Hope you feel better soon!

Go to the doctor. You might have pneumonia or some other bacterial infection and may need antibiotics. Or you can be like me and just suffer.

What's the rule - starve a cold, beat a fever?

A mixture of brandy and whisky is supposed to be good, although I'm not sure if there's any medical reason why it should help. It certainly takes your mind off it which is probably a good thing.

Go to the doctor, if a cold lasts more than 7-10 days you're allowed to go without them dismissing you as a wuss and a timewaster!

Oh yeah, hope you feel better soon too.

My dad has always advocated whisky, honey and hot water. Drink the whisky, eat the honey, have a bath in the water. Wahey!

Sorry.

Pete (Pete), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 17:30 (twenty-three years ago)

Vitamin A and D are the major fat-soluble vitamins present in milk. The B vitamins thiamin, riboflavin, riacin and B12 are water-soluble vitamins present in milk. Milk is particularly an excellent source of riboflavin (B2), which regulates the body’s production of energy from dietary fat, carbohydrate and protein. It also promotes healthy skin and eyes.

I drink yoghurt alot.

i had a cold from roughly last february till about a month and a half ago...
it would kind of come and go in terms of strength, but was always there....
it was raspy,in theory, but i kind of got used to it...
every so often it would get really bad though, and i'd be up all night blowing my nose...
it eventually just went away...
