Not only is he destroying the Ring of Power, but he's got pretty good taste. Of course, given the first album he names, I would say that. I like the sidebar as well -- a few things I could do without, admittedly. ;-)

"Every time I play [The Stone Roses, it fills me with memories of Frodo Baggins."

Beautiful!!!

Why does it not surprise me that a hobbit would include a Ween CD among his favorite albums?

I was very happy to see the Verbena record get namechecked by Elijah when my Blender came. One of my Top 20 albums from the 90s, for sure.

I lost all respect for the man when I found out he hunts out Amelie collectibles.

Nicole (Nicole), Friday, 10 January 2003 21:49 (twenty-three years ago)

Okay, that is indeed deeply wrong. He should be ashamed.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 10 January 2003 23:23 (twenty-three years ago)

This is just sick. Elijah, hang your head in shame.

Oh, Kubrick toys!

When I've searched for Shaolin Soccer on eBay, I usually get a subject reading that reads

KUBRICK SHAOLIN SOCCER ACTION FIGURE /SIU LAM

and I had wondered if the late Stanley Kubrick had taken some kind of creative role in Shaolin Soccer.

Sorry to hijack this thread with my pathetic little revelation.

Amateurist (amateurist), Friday, 10 January 2003 23:45 (twenty-three years ago)

If Kubrick had contributed to Shaolin Soccer it would have been rub.

Nicole (Nicole), Saturday, 11 January 2003 00:43 (twenty-three years ago)

i saw something about it on sky news when it was going to be released in the us,but never saw any mention of it being released over here....
