People who talk about their lives on ILE = Classic, and the point of ILE in fact

People who post vague complaints anonymously = resounding DUD, and only worth responding to because yelling at you takes my mind off my ex-girlfriend. *sniff*

Dave M., Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I smell a doom

anthony, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

The internet is made of wires in boxes. Therefore it is not possible.

maryann, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Is it ever classic or dud? Personally I have gone through some problems and because I feared for my health, I told people about my problems.

nathalie, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

“The web is not so much an alternative world but a setting where respite can be achieved and issues explored in comparative safety” (Abbot 1998; 97).

I think the web is rapidly changing, into a place where especially young people can open up and express their ideas/personality. The only drawback can come from the audience, as the anonymity of this group can lead to self censorship, through fear of being criticised.

jel, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

People can air as much dirty laundry as they like here, if you don't like it DON'T FUCKING READ IT.

DG, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

yeah tom and the dirty dildo was great: fucking classic

Geoff, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

What else would I do in Irish Laundry Enterprises?

Ronan, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

*GROAN* I suppose I could kill you for that, Ronan, but one of these days I'll probably visit Ireland and I'll need someone to show me around to their preferred soaks.

Ned Raggett, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I like other people's dirty laundry. It is distracting.

Lyra, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Did you ever think "airing dirty laundry" is a pretty unsatisfactory metaphor? like, you don't air it when it's still dirty, yr suppose to wash it, duh.

duane, Sunday, 26 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

no point if you want reaction you need to see body language-my best one to date was in a supermarket- you dont mind f#333### me but you dont want to do the groceries with me?

Is it ever classic or dud? Personally I have gone through some problems and because I feared for my health, I told people about my problems.

I wonder what it was. As I'm a hypochondriac with terrible memory, I can't for the life remember what it could have been.

nathalie, Wednesday, 23 May 2007 11:38 (nineteen years ago)

It's unusual to see dirty laundry aired is the point surely, Duane from 5 yeers ago?

Ned Trifle II, Wednesday, 23 May 2007 11:49 (nineteen years ago)

Classic if you choose to air your own and it has nothing to do with anyone who actually posts on ILX. Complete motherfucking dud otherwise.

suzy, Wednesday, 23 May 2007 11:52 (nineteen years ago)

dud if you're scandinavian

classic if it's completely made up like gear's roommate

latebloomer, Wednesday, 23 May 2007 12:12 (nineteen years ago)

actually i don't care either way

latebloomer, Wednesday, 23 May 2007 12:12 (nineteen years ago)

quantraversal

g-kit, Wednesday, 23 May 2007 12:19 (nineteen years ago)

Massive awful Dud unless it's actually a funny story that amuses me (rare).

blueski, Wednesday, 23 May 2007 12:22 (nineteen years ago)

We are here to please you (not). ;-)

nathalie, Wednesday, 23 May 2007 12:23 (nineteen years ago)

As I'm a hypochondriac

Doesn't that mean you only think you are one?

StanM, Wednesday, 23 May 2007 12:25 (nineteen years ago)

that would be a case of psychosomatic hypochondria

Edward III, Wednesday, 23 May 2007 13:04 (nineteen years ago)

As I'm a hypochondriac with terrible memory

maybe you have Alzheimer's

Curt1s Stephens, Wednesday, 23 May 2007 13:13 (nineteen years ago)

As I'm a hypochondriac with terrible memory

How can you remember whether you're a hypochondriac or not??

El Tomboto, Thursday, 18 October 2007 05:44 (eighteen years ago)

still two weeks to go

jergïns, Thursday, 18 October 2007 05:45 (eighteen years ago)

is amon banned sitewide or just on ile?

jergïns, Thursday, 18 October 2007 05:47 (eighteen years ago)

should I let him back on nb and ire? maybe after a couple of days

El Tomboto, Thursday, 18 October 2007 05:49 (eighteen years ago)

he's decent enough on ilm.

Jordan Sargent, Thursday, 18 October 2007 05:50 (eighteen years ago)

at least in rap threads.

Jordan Sargent, Thursday, 18 October 2007 05:51 (eighteen years ago)

Yes, please do.

W4LTER, Thursday, 18 October 2007 05:56 (eighteen years ago)

dude am0n is kind of a bro, his antagonisms seem generally good-natured and he's into real classy jams! he's way funnier/makes shit more readable and entertaining than almost anyone he offends. i mean most of the time he seems to be saying "wtf is wrong with you people?" and honestly wtf is wrong with a lot of these people, really?

pretzel walrus, Thursday, 18 October 2007 06:00 (eighteen years ago)

one could presumably ask the same of him and expect something illuminating in response I'm sure

anyway he's back on any board he wants to be on besides this one for now

El Tomboto, Thursday, 18 October 2007 06:05 (eighteen years ago)

lol, Tom, you've had a busy couple of days.

W4LTER, Thursday, 18 October 2007 06:06 (eighteen years ago)

for future reference being "into real classy jams" is not a douche license

El Tomboto, Thursday, 18 October 2007 06:07 (eighteen years ago)

I dunno, at least on ILE he's kinda annoying because all he ever seems to do is say "what the fuck up is wrong with you?" or "shut the fuck up!". I find it weird because he doesn't seem to interact with people here at all, so why does he care so much about what they say? If that's his whole contribution to ILE then it's not much, though I'm not sure if that's reason enough to ban him.

Tuomas, Thursday, 18 October 2007 06:07 (eighteen years ago)

I mean, at least all the other offensive noise boarders have personalities and all.

faq

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Thursday, 18 October 2007 06:12 (eighteen years ago)

but dude he totally has a personality! xp

also tom yr right, "decent taste" is not a legit justification for being a dick on ile. i guess i just usually think dude is funny and the people he works up are being dumbasses anyway.

pretzel walrus, Thursday, 18 October 2007 06:14 (eighteen years ago)

Well, if he has a personality, he doesn't much show it here. I really don't count inventive ways of saying "fuck you" as a "personality".

Tuomas, Thursday, 18 October 2007 06:18 (eighteen years ago)

dumbasses are our core demographic though

in this case he came late to the party trying to circumvent code stet put in place at the request of a longtime regular who cried uncle re: the googleability of his real name and when warned off basically said fuck you

ethan, curtis and heave ho all found something better to do (ok curtis was a little slow but he also didn't get rude)

El Tomboto, Thursday, 18 October 2007 06:20 (eighteen years ago)

I mean, at least all the other offensive noise boarders have personalities and all.

-- Tuomas, Thursday, October 18, 2007 6:10 AM (18 minutes ago)

aw gee thanks. also, fuck off.

John Justen, Thursday, 18 October 2007 06:31 (eighteen years ago)

i was offensive here long before the noise board existed

remy bean, Thursday, 18 October 2007 06:34 (eighteen years ago)

I didn't mean that all noise boarders are offensive, just that those who are usually balance it with having a personality. Fuck on.

Tuomas, Thursday, 18 October 2007 06:35 (eighteen years ago)

Tuomas, Thursday, 18 October 2007 06:35 (eighteen years ago)

hey, who turned out the fuck?

remy bean, Thursday, 18 October 2007 06:37 (eighteen years ago)

srsly, did this week bring us back to the "OH NOES NOISE BOARD IS TO BLAME" bullshit? BORING

xpost

John Justen, Thursday, 18 October 2007 06:38 (eighteen years ago)

I didn't say noise board is to blame, "offensive noise boarders" was just an easy way to refer to a few people who post there. Don't take it too seriously.

Tuomas, Thursday, 18 October 2007 06:47 (eighteen years ago)

Hint: "offensive posters" is even easier, and probably more accurate.

John Justen, Thursday, 18 October 2007 06:50 (eighteen years ago)

i really wanted to start an 'ANTI NOISE WALL OF SHAME' thread on nb, and cut & copy all the rad screeds people have leveled against it, but then when i started to do that, i realized it was gonna take more than 5 minutes of work.

remy bean, Thursday, 18 October 2007 06:50 (eighteen years ago)

[noise board]
