Well? MarkH is confident my NTK can be satisfied. I last saw it about... two months ago. Last watched regularly about a year ago.

Archel (Archel), Thursday, 16 January 2003 10:34 (twenty-three years ago)

Darcy is going out with some older lady. Drew died. I'm not sure if Susan Kennedy has her memory back yet.

I think I will start watching Neighbours again!

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 16 January 2003 10:37 (twenty-three years ago)

susan's memory is not back but she's falling for karl all over again.

love triangles:

lou carpenter---that white-haired minister lady---harold bishop

michelle scully--conner o'irishguy---the young girl who's about to embark on a great singing career etc.

this may have all changed since I haven't seen it in a week.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 16 January 2003 10:57 (twenty-three years ago)

i think michelle, irish guy, and the singer have sorted out their triangle.
Lou's ill, again.

Fuzzy (Fuzzy), Thursday, 16 January 2003 11:58 (twenty-three years ago)

Summer has a great big crush on [Elder Scully]!

Graham (graham), Thursday, 16 January 2003 13:43 (twenty-three years ago)

they're talking about pulling the plug on Daphne. a naturally distraught Des confides in Mike while Mrs Mangle tightens her draconian control over Jane.

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 16 January 2003 13:45 (twenty-three years ago)

they should have a plot where whoever summer crushes on = instant coincidental death

zemko (bob), Thursday, 16 January 2003 13:46 (twenty-three years ago)

also summer's dad and steph have this weird hatefuck thing

harold signed up to to a dating agency but attracted a lady with a suitcase of dildos and stuff

zemko (bob), Thursday, 16 January 2003 13:48 (twenty-three years ago)

(hey has anyone seen night and day recently! it's fucked!)

zemko (bob), Thursday, 16 January 2003 13:50 (twenty-three years ago)

....Susan Kennedy has her memory back yet.

she lost her memory? when? awww. poor love.

g-kit (g-kit), Thursday, 16 January 2003 13:55 (twenty-three years ago)

She feel over, and reverted to being some sort of hippy, wanted to divorce Karl coz she didn't know who he was!

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 16 January 2003 13:58 (twenty-three years ago)

she fell over even! she feel over = hehe

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 16 January 2003 14:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I thought the bit a few months ago when Harold got knocked down by a car when jogging was the funniest thing ever! But I very rarely see an entire episode - just five minutes or so before the news.

Libby's dyed hair doesn't suit her.

MarkH (MarkH), Thursday, 16 January 2003 14:07 (twenty-three years ago)

Susan felt faint and when she woke up she thought she was 16 again and left Carl to go after her high school sweetheart.

Graham (graham), Thursday, 16 January 2003 14:11 (twenty-three years ago)

awww. susan was always really nice, hippy susan must've been ultra-nice.

g-kit (g-kit), Thursday, 16 January 2003 14:16 (twenty-three years ago)

they're talking about pulling the plug on Daphne. a naturally distraught Des confides in Mike while Mrs Mangle tightens her draconian control over Jane.

That's the funniest thing I've read in ages. I can't type for laughing.

SittingPretty (sittingpretty), Thursday, 16 January 2003 14:46 (twenty-three years ago)

well he didnt specify whats happening in Neighbours WHEN....come join me where its 1987 forever

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 16 January 2003 15:41 (twenty-three years ago)

hehe stevem!

Boyd has new girlfriend, but has been grounded as he kept sneaking out when he should have been looking after Summer.

Dee (is that Toadie's gf's name?) is possibly about to embark on an affair with a senior doctor who has developed a crush on her and patronises her massage sessions.

One of the ident-a-blondes is going to New York with Michelle.

The rough-looking bloke whose name I forget is up to strange, scary things in his garage, while trying for a baby with the missus.

Mark C (Mark C), Thursday, 16 January 2003 16:01 (twenty-three years ago)

one year passes...
Why is Lou in prison?? WTF??

ARRRGHHHH!

Toadie was reading "Law for Dummies".

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 30 September 2004 15:59 (twenty-one years ago)

i missed the episodes that explain lou's jail sentence, i think it had something to do with horse racing fixing.

how long has Neighbours been using titles for each episode?

Ste (Fuzzy), Friday, 1 October 2004 07:35 (twenty-one years ago)

not very long at all

the surface noise (slight return) (electricsound), Friday, 1 October 2004 07:49 (twenty-one years ago)

yes, Lou's in prison as he fixed a horse race. The entire street turned up to support their good friend, and were shocked and broken hearted when the judge sentenced him, rather harshly I thought, to a 3 year prison term. No parole before 2 years. His cellmate is the evil Dr Darcy. Prison hi-jinks will no doubt abound. I love having no job.

trix, Friday, 1 October 2004 13:13 (twenty-one years ago)

sorry, that should read "working from home"...

trix, Friday, 1 October 2004 13:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Do we reckon Lou got bum raped by those tatooed guys?

Wooden (Wooden), Friday, 1 October 2004 13:17 (twenty-one years ago)

I reckon they did him in the vagina.

Markelby (Mark C), Friday, 1 October 2004 13:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Whoa prison?? I wish I could get home in time to start watching this again.

Ian Smith (=Harold) used to write and occasionally be in Prisoner Cell Block H. Maybe he's missing the clanging of cell doors. Is Harold even still in it btw?

beanz (beanz), Friday, 1 October 2004 14:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Harold is still in it and on magnificent form.

The prison that Lou's in looks suspiciously like the Prisoner set.

Wooden (Wooden), Friday, 1 October 2004 14:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Do the sets still wobble and flip flops still make that noise on the lino when the wearer goes to the fridge for juice?

Penelope_111 (Penelope_111), Friday, 1 October 2004 14:56 (twenty-one years ago)

"I am not a number, I'm an Australian"

Didoismus (Dada), Friday, 1 October 2004 14:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Glad to hear it
xp

beanz (beanz), Friday, 1 October 2004 14:57 (twenty-one years ago)

"Toadie! Get me outta here!!!"

Why has Harold Bishop got a long lost son who can't act?

jel -- (jel), Friday, 1 October 2004 15:27 (twenty-one years ago)

He's no son of Harold's if he can't act!

Didoismus (Dada), Friday, 1 October 2004 15:29 (twenty-one years ago)

David Bishop's a genius. It's perfect casting.

Wooden (Wooden), Friday, 1 October 2004 15:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Why is Darcy in jail??

Lou will be out by next week.

jel -- (jel), Friday, 1 October 2004 15:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Darcy's in jail because he incured huge gambling debts and stole loads of jewelry from Karl and Susan, the cad.

Wooden (Wooden), Friday, 1 October 2004 15:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Boo! He deserves to rot!

Perhaps, Lou and Darcy will go on the run, like Thelma and Louise!

jel -- (jel), Friday, 1 October 2004 15:43 (twenty-one years ago)

You know Karl and Susan have split up, right?

Wooden (Wooden), Friday, 1 October 2004 15:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh yeah! I knew that, Susan was getting it on with a priest and Karl is shacked up with a young lady who is pregnant. I saw a few episodes a few weeks ago.

jel -- (jel), Friday, 1 October 2004 15:46 (twenty-one years ago)

But that guy from way back was romancing Libby, what happened with that story line? I take it he was also the guy she was talking to on the internet. Never trust internet people! :)

jel -- (jel), Friday, 1 October 2004 15:47 (twenty-one years ago)

I thought Darren was selling himself short, crawling back to Libby after his sterling romance with the chubby girl in that C4 late night Aussie drama.

B.A.R.M.S. (Barima), Friday, 1 October 2004 16:41 (twenty-one years ago)

one year passes...
Happy Birthday Neighbours! Twenty years young! Man, I feel old.

Returning characters this week are: Annalise, Joe, Lucy, Doug, Lance, Rosemary and Phil, Nina, Flic, Jane, Debbie, Sam, Gail, Mal, Billy, Libby, Sarah, Melanie, Gaby, Amy, Matt, Hannah, Angie, Marlene, Darren, Brett, Danni, Danny, Hilary, Luke, Paul McClain, Bev and Ruth.

Mädchen (Madchen), Monday, 17 October 2005 10:49 (twenty years ago)

ah but which Lucy? blind Lucy, crazy hat Lucy or hott Lucy?

too bad Guy Pearce said 'pffft!' when asked if he wanted to appear.

i would like to see Plain Jane agane.

Sociah T Azzahole (blueski), Monday, 17 October 2005 10:59 (twenty years ago)

Haha you guys are so behind! I haven't watched it in months, but news is that there's going to be a big dramatic plane crash due to ... A BOMB! And three regular characters will DIE! It's all so VERY original. This is a way of killing people off in style so the actors can try and resurrect their careers after leaving the show instead of doing the boring "goodbye I'm off to panto-land" scenario. Well that's the news from the *future* over here, so tighten your seatbelts.

salexander / sophie (salexander), Monday, 17 October 2005 11:16 (twenty years ago)

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER the regular characters are harold's son, his wife & his daughter IIRC

vacuum cleaner (electricsound), Monday, 17 October 2005 11:18 (twenty years ago)

Annalise

*gaffaw*

ken c (ken c), Monday, 17 October 2005 11:18 (twenty years ago)

Cracking episode today. Izzy got her comeuppance and Lance turned up in a Darth Vader costume.

chap who would dare to violate the least amount of laws of physics (chap), Monday, 17 October 2005 13:32 (twenty years ago)

Who's Darth Vader?

The Girl Who Johnny B Is eMailing (aldo_cowpat), Monday, 17 October 2005 13:40 (twenty years ago)

Shit! Why do I have to be working funny shifts this week? Did Karl flip then? And Lance! Lance! What a legend!

Stew (stew s), Monday, 17 October 2005 21:48 (twenty years ago)

This is well exciting!

Suedey (John Cei Douglas), Monday, 17 October 2005 21:54 (twenty years ago)

http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/neighbours/storyupdates/

Ha ha! The Karl and Izzy meltdown plus Annabel being a total bitch! Magic.

Stew (stew s), Monday, 17 October 2005 22:04 (twenty years ago)

omg i didn't know anything about neighbours birthday reuninon and I had a dream last night that Scott and Charlene both made an appearance!

Ste (Fuzzy), Tuesday, 18 October 2005 08:16 (twenty years ago)

Lance a legend? are you sure you're not mixing up with the Home and Away Lance who was indeed comedy gold?

Because the 'most notable moment' for 'Neighbours' Lance is :
"On a camping trip, discovering that a possum had pooed in the veggie ragout."

Ste (Fuzzy), Tuesday, 18 October 2005 09:28 (twenty years ago)

Like that's not amazing?

Suedey (John Cei Douglas), Tuesday, 18 October 2005 10:10 (twenty years ago)

Craig Mclachlan was playing down my local pub last week.

moley, Tuesday, 18 October 2005 10:15 (twenty years ago)

As long as the possum was a vegetarian, you could still eat it I reckon.

Mädchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 18 October 2005 10:16 (twenty years ago)

(not too sure a tour round ramsay after today's ep ws the best way to celebrate)

this ws great though i bet annalise's film bombs when shown round the international film-festival circuit.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Tuesday, 18 October 2005 16:28 (twenty years ago)

No way Desouza! It's gonna be a massive hit!

(though, she might want to pad it out a little)

hah, all the Neighbours threads are getting revived.

jel -- (jel), Tuesday, 18 October 2005 16:30 (twenty years ago)

God, all those cameos were absolutely toe-curling. Magnificent stuff.

chap who would dare to violate the least amount of laws of physics (chap), Tuesday, 18 October 2005 16:46 (twenty years ago)
