Are there any plumbers on ILX? Have you studied plumbing or done some plumbing work in the past? Do you think it is something that should be taught, or is it better to know less and be intuitive? Do you like plumbing?

I plumbed our bath in when thee old one started l34king, plus, I've unblox0r3d thee cist3rn a coupla times. Oh, I phitted a new WC and a new washbasin & column @ tha same time as teh bath. So yes, I have some basick plumbing skillz0rz. I did not study it, I helped my dad phit various watery household phittings @ his house some years ago, & I remembered what to do. Plumbing = sux0r. Thee only reasonI diy-ed was b/c I couldn't afford 2 pay a professional plumber. They deserve their money if u ask me. 2 tips: 1 when buying plumbing bitz, buy them from a smallhardware store coz b&q = k=Xpenziv. 2 learn where yer stop cox0r is, & try it out 2 make sure it has not siezed up. poss 3rd tip = wneh purchasing yer new vacuum clean0r, get a VAX, coz they suck up water a treat.

That post gave me a headache. Do you mean plumbing as in putting in a sink, or do you mean doing a whole house? My brother is a plumber/pipefitter, and he had to go to school for 9 months to get a real job "layin' pipe". It's intuitive to an extent, but you have to know a lot of crazy shit to do it professionally.
