This being a post-your-thoughts statement from a reader of this story. Best excuse for giving up TV ever, or cheesiest cop-out for not spending the money on repairs for a new TV? [If it helps any, feel free to imagine the other partner as a huge Buffy fan now deprived.]

Not having a TV at all vs having a TV outside of bedroom = no difference.
