Why don't we attempt another Glasgow FAP, so RJG can distribute the ILX Comp? Or are you still all completely indifferent?

smee (smee), Thursday, 23 January 2003 12:27 (twenty-three years ago)

OK, I think that answers my question.....

smee (smee), Thursday, 23 January 2003 12:36 (twenty-three years ago)

Ha ha - Glasweegians don't know how to drink.

Pete (Pete), Thursday, 23 January 2003 12:44 (twenty-three years ago)

It's not that at all, we have such hectic social lives you see....

smee (smee), Thursday, 23 January 2003 12:48 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm kind of broke.

N. (nickdastoor), Thursday, 23 January 2003 12:50 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't have the CDs yet. let's wait.

pete, I'd guess that we're all too busy drinking to organise to go out for A drink.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 23 January 2003 12:54 (twenty-three years ago)

Pah, some excuse. We're FAPagogo down here in London Town.

Buck up Nick - payday next week and we all know how cheer Scottish beer is.

Pete (Pete), Thursday, 23 January 2003 12:56 (twenty-three years ago)

I got paid on Tuesday, O traditionalist Pete. But I still need to recoup about £5000 in frittered cash.

N. (nickdastoor), Thursday, 23 January 2003 13:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I will be there from the 20th of Feb til the 24th. But N. won't, which is a shame.

chris (chris), Thursday, 23 January 2003 13:05 (twenty-three years ago)

Once we all feel more financially stable and the CD's have arrived we shall organise a night of such unashamed debauchery it shall go down in history!

smee (smee), Thursday, 23 January 2003 13:08 (twenty-three years ago)

Well *I* got paid on *Monday* so THERE.

Tom (Groke), Thursday, 23 January 2003 13:09 (twenty-three years ago)

hey, N, FAP tonight? you won't need to buy one. me and DG were going to talk to AC but we could talk to you too, please?

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 23 January 2003 13:09 (twenty-three years ago)

glasgow faps are like the worst ones ever. none of you ever go, and then you have threads where you're all snarky to each other and say you;re too busy cleaning the windows or something. its great!

gareth (gareth), Thursday, 23 January 2003 13:13 (twenty-three years ago)

Glasgow is the world capital of antifun.

I think to add insult to injury we should just use this thread to organise a London FAP.

Tom (Groke), Thursday, 23 January 2003 13:15 (twenty-three years ago)

Hey, there’s only like 10 of us at the most, there’s millions of you lot! We shall have the FAP to end all FAPs one day and show you all, so ner!

smee (smee), Thursday, 23 January 2003 13:20 (twenty-three years ago)

And to add injury to insult I think I'll come along and kick the shit out of twats who make smug remarks about Glasgow.

Marcello Carlin, Thursday, 23 January 2003 13:25 (twenty-three years ago)

Go Marcello!

smee (smee), Thursday, 23 January 2003 13:26 (twenty-three years ago)

:)

gareth (gareth), Thursday, 23 January 2003 13:36 (twenty-three years ago)

It does not take much to awaken the primeval savagery which beats within our breasts, e.g. all other Glaswegian hardmen like, er, Glen Michael and Andy Cameron...

Going off topic for a second - High Road and River City! I never watch either of these unless I'm visiting my mum. They are appalling! Mr Cameron is now in High Road (probably has been for decades, but I went away a long time ago) as cheery Chic Cherry with an eye for the lassies (sort of the Frank Butcher of the M8). It makes Emmerdale seem like Buried.

Marcello Carlin, Thursday, 23 January 2003 13:36 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes, apologies to all you lovely Glaswegians - FAP away!

Tom (Groke), Thursday, 23 January 2003 13:47 (twenty-three years ago)

Who has been making smug remarks about Glasgow? I'll err.. kick their heads in too. Unless it was me.

RJG OK. Am I AWA or IO AC?

N. (nickdastoor), Thursday, 23 January 2003 13:49 (twenty-three years ago)

Thank you Tom, think i's a bit optimistic of you but thanks anyway...

Marcello - River City makes El Dorado look good!
High Road however is OK if you are a wee old Scottish person, they love all that stuff. And of course it means you can visit Luss and hum the theme tune as you stroll along the beach!

smee (smee), Thursday, 23 January 2003 13:50 (twenty-three years ago)

Marcello - re:River City - if appalling is secret code for fanbloodyamazing then you are camping out on the money.

Cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 23 January 2003 14:10 (twenty-three years ago)

"yir no ma maw and ye'll nivir be!" slams door, neighbours-style.

sadly, appalling is my secret code for "appalling." then again i didn't think much of "the book group" either.

Marcello Carlin, Thursday, 23 January 2003 14:16 (twenty-three years ago)

Och aye, bit Marchello, how'dye hink aw us Scoatsmin feel, wi'oot wur ain soap opear, tae call wur ain an that, eh? Noo, like, we dae.

Cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 23 January 2003 14:18 (twenty-three years ago)

Aye, you're right: it's rubbish. Mildly amusing, maybe, but ultimately rubbish.

Cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 23 January 2003 14:19 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm in Glasgow this weekend, but all my time is booked up.

Hopefully Arbroath will beat Rangers on Saturday and I'll get to see a lot of down in the mouth gers on Saturday night.

Billy Dods (Billy Dods), Thursday, 23 January 2003 16:04 (twenty-three years ago)

I got the CDs today. I'll see a couple of you this weekend anyway, but. I have for plink and cozen, too.

want to try to arrange a FAP now?

RJG (RJG), Saturday, 25 January 2003 16:31 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't feel well.

N. (nickdastoor), Saturday, 25 January 2003 16:51 (twenty-three years ago)

awwwwwwwww.

RJG (RJG), Saturday, 25 January 2003 16:52 (twenty-three years ago)

I missed this - we need to have a FAP if only to shut up the Londoners!
And I'd really like my copy of the comp too, coz I'm feeling left out *sniff*

smee (smee), Friday, 31 January 2003 13:56 (twenty-three years ago)

but if you actually do one RJG and N's good cop/bad cop routine will be taken offthread, I was quite enjoying it.

Ronan (Ronan), Friday, 31 January 2003 14:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I shall send you the transcripts!

(it'll never happen, I have lost all faith in the drinking habits of Glaswegians)

smee (smee), Friday, 31 January 2003 14:01 (twenty-three years ago)

get howie.

RJG (RJG), Friday, 31 January 2003 14:03 (twenty-three years ago)

starring Michael Caine.

Ronan (Ronan), Friday, 31 January 2003 14:04 (twenty-three years ago)

Freaky mindmeld Ronana, I was gonna say that!

smee (smee), Friday, 31 January 2003 14:04 (twenty-three years ago)

Have the FAP while I'm up so I can compare quality and heft.

chris (chris), Friday, 31 January 2003 14:05 (twenty-three years ago)

When are you here?

smee (smee), Friday, 31 January 2003 14:07 (twenty-three years ago)

See above in thread, but 20th til the 24th. It is a shame that N. won't be there though.

chris (chris), Friday, 31 January 2003 14:08 (twenty-three years ago)

We'll have to wait and see. I have almost given up hope. I think I shall have my very own Glasgow FAP at the weekend and post all the pictures on Monday!

smee (smee), Friday, 31 January 2003 14:10 (twenty-three years ago)

Surely RJG and Nick would be more of a bad cop/bad cop deal?

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Friday, 31 January 2003 21:27 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm a terrible cop.

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 31 January 2003 22:02 (twenty-three years ago)

OK so let us [someone else] arrange something since I don't like the idea that pete and gareth have the idea that people in glasgow are whatever they're saying and I have ILX CDs for plink and howie.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 3 February 2003 16:24 (twenty-three years ago)

Hey there. I'm around Friday *wooo*

Lara (Lara), Monday, 3 February 2003 16:28 (twenty-three years ago)

Ohmygod I'm in shock! If it's in Central Glasgow and it ain't too scuzy/trendy I'm there.

Friday anyone?

smee (smee), Monday, 3 February 2003 16:28 (twenty-three years ago)

friday=the winchester club. not too FAPable. I heard about you lara. now, tell me, are you around JUST on friday? saturday?

RJG (RJG), Monday, 3 February 2003 16:30 (twenty-three years ago)

Whatcha hear??

Lara (Lara), Monday, 3 February 2003 16:30 (twenty-three years ago)

Meaning, of course, what's on on Saturday? My flights are being booked as I type...

Lara (Lara), Monday, 3 February 2003 16:32 (twenty-three years ago)

RJG, Winchester Club? Never 'eard of it. I can't do Sat, got a previous engagement.

Next weekend is like bleugh bleugh Valentines so it's probably out too.

What about 22 Feb?

smee (smee), Monday, 3 February 2003 16:35 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh yeah, I'm completely tied up with Valentine's engagements next weekend too.

Lara (Lara), Monday, 3 February 2003 16:38 (twenty-three years ago)

oh, nothing's actually on on saturday... ...we need that howie to say something here.

thw winchester club is a crazy disco club night with live bands [usually] and DJs playing good music for people to dance to if they want to. it's run by a couple of folk from here and friends.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 3 February 2003 16:40 (twenty-three years ago)

Sounds good. Well, I can't really think of anywhere neutral and inoffensive off the top of my head, but there's gotta be somewhere in Glasgow we can go. Is the 22nd OK for most? Think that’s the weekend where N is replaced by Chris innit?

smee (smee), Monday, 3 February 2003 16:44 (twenty-three years ago)

three years pass...
FAP, Glasgow, this weekend?

the pinefox (the pinefox), Wednesday, 6 September 2006 13:05 (nineteen years ago)
