I usually post from work as I feel justified in misusing my employers time. This evening I've been playing with my PC and thought I'd log-on ON MY OWN TIME. It feel as though I should be doing something else...

Where are you posting from?

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 23 January 2003 20:46 (twenty-three years ago)

work.

isadora (isadora), Thursday, 23 January 2003 20:48 (twenty-three years ago)

Home, I was meant to be going out for the first time since my exams started and finished on tuesday but there is noone around until tomorrow, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGH.

Ronan (Ronan), Thursday, 23 January 2003 20:50 (twenty-three years ago)

Isadora are you working late or do you live in one of those countries that pretends to have another time-zone but in reality you all go to work at two in the afternoon?

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 23 January 2003 20:52 (twenty-three years ago)

Misusing employer's time.

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 23 January 2003 20:54 (twenty-three years ago)

I take the Fifth.

felicity (felicity), Thursday, 23 January 2003 20:58 (twenty-three years ago)

from the Village Voice offices; just had lunch with Mary.

M Matos (M Matos), Thursday, 23 January 2003 21:01 (twenty-three years ago)

I sometimes worry about somebody at work doing a random web search and finding *all these posts*. When the fear grips me I go for a calming fag and them come right back here.

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 23 January 2003 21:02 (twenty-three years ago)

Maybe I should have asked what you *should* be doing rather than where you are? Or maybe I should just have asked about kittens...

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 23 January 2003 21:11 (twenty-three years ago)

felicity, I'll see your fifth and raise you a pint.

No One (SiggyBaby), Thursday, 23 January 2003 21:16 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm posting from home, I've decided not to use ILX at work anymore...and like try and get my self noticed so people will come and ask me to do searches and stuff for them. Though, doing searches only makes me want to go back to uni, so that I become a pop-culture professor.

I am listening to Avril.

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 23 January 2003 21:18 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm always at home. The computer at work has been used once that I know of in the 6 months I've been there... that was by me. Oh and it's not on the net anyway.

Celeste (Celeste), Thursday, 23 January 2003 21:18 (twenty-three years ago)

I tried not posting at work. I thought that lurking could be my 'nicorette' if you know what I mean. But I just felt dirty so went back to posting.

PS I have no intention of giving up smoking.

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 23 January 2003 21:21 (twenty-three years ago)

Work (Falls Church, VA today).

j.lu (j.lu), Thursday, 23 January 2003 21:25 (twenty-three years ago)

oh, I'm trying the total clean break thing! Everytime I feel like reading ILX I go to the Office for National Statistics website instead.

(I only started my clean break yesterday)

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 23 January 2003 21:27 (twenty-three years ago)

Guess where I am mom? I'm posting from a limousine!

Nick A. (Nick A.), Thursday, 23 January 2003 21:33 (twenty-three years ago)

You can still spell limousine so you can't be having _that_ good a time.

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 23 January 2003 21:35 (twenty-three years ago)

Home. I do occasionally spend a lunch hour (or part) visiting, but over 90% of my posting is from home.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Thursday, 23 January 2003 21:59 (twenty-three years ago)

to No One in particular: that's funny.

felicity (felicity), Thursday, 23 January 2003 22:11 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm making it a point to try to post at least once from every computer I have access to...

brg30 (brg30), Thursday, 23 January 2003 22:24 (twenty-three years ago)

home.

my misuse of school computers during my independent study is almost over forever :(

Maria (Maria), Thursday, 23 January 2003 22:25 (twenty-three years ago)

Sorry Lara. I am at work on the other side of the world, where we walk around upsidedown etc. I work for the government, in a small cow-focussed town, doing conservation/plant ecology related stuff.

isadora (isadora), Thursday, 23 January 2003 22:56 (twenty-three years ago)

I want isadora's life.

N. (nickdastoor), Thursday, 23 January 2003 22:58 (twenty-three years ago)

Work, but as I am editing my own movie...

The AVID crashes too damn much, and I hate syncing, much less syncing a scene with 29 takes.

Girolamo Savonarola, Thursday, 23 January 2003 23:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Isadora - do you conserve ferns? I like them.

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 23 January 2003 23:00 (twenty-three years ago)

After-thought: I'd like Isadora's name.

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 23 January 2003 23:01 (twenty-three years ago)

From the VV copy room!

Mary (Mary), Thursday, 23 January 2003 23:02 (twenty-three years ago)

Knock Knock

Who's there?

Is a door unneccessary on a bathroom?

N. (nickdastoor), Thursday, 23 January 2003 23:04 (twenty-three years ago)

If you were telling that in an Italian accent: ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 23 January 2003 23:05 (twenty-three years ago)

home, there was only one era when it was anything other.

naked as sin (naked as sin), Thursday, 23 January 2003 23:06 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm glad you're home. You could catch your death if you went out naked in this weather.

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 23 January 2003 23:09 (twenty-three years ago)

I love ferns. I conserve them avidly. My favourites are the Hymenophyllacae, their pinnae are one cell thick so they look fragile and translucent. the tallest are about 25cm high. They sprawl, so a rock or tree trunk will be carpeted with filmy ferns. I want to learn how to tell them apart at a glance.

Actually you don't want my life as I don't know many people in this small town, though I admit bits of it are brilliant.

What about Isa-lara?

isadora (isadora), Friday, 24 January 2003 01:04 (twenty-three years ago)

Work earlier, home now. Rah.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 24 January 2003 01:47 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm posting from isadora's lap

Vic (Vic), Friday, 24 January 2003 04:31 (twenty-three years ago)

when I first started at ILx I always posted from work. now I work at an institution entrusted with the torchbearers of our future . . which has very few computers and virtually no access to the virtual world.

so instead i stay up way too late at home and post.

That Girl (thatgirl), Friday, 24 January 2003 06:23 (twenty-three years ago)

Back at work now. Shhhhh. Don't tell anyone.

I'm in Dublin, btw.

Lara (Lara), Friday, 24 January 2003 10:05 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm at work. On my own, all afternoon. The boss and his gf are away to Glasgow for a meeting. So, I don't have to worry about the boss turning round and spotting something non-work on my screen - woohoo!

caitlin (caitlin), Friday, 24 January 2003 14:07 (twenty-three years ago)

From work as always, where the heat currently isn't working (don't get me started).
