I was just searching for info about New Zealand pop combo Look Blue Go Purple, and it led me to a (non-ILX-related) quizette completed by our very own Petra Jane! How cool is that?

Has this happened to anyone else?

You google me and all you get is a query about David Hume's ideas on causality. Bah!

Um, whether they were lesbians. (it was pertinent to a post on another interweb forum)

Long before I came to ILX I read an article dissing Paul Weller that I thought was right on. A while ago I came across it again and was surprised to see it signed by a very familiar name around these parts...

before I came to ILx but after I knew the pinefox, I was searching for something about orange juice and I found a thread with him on saying they were OK or something. I clicked 'back' and stayed well away in case he thought I was following him around! and then I found out that everyone else was here so WHATTHEHELL.

Reading AMG, as I have recounted to the writer, I was reading reviews of Ashra's New Age Of Earth and The Pearl by Harold Budd and Brian Eno that Ned had written, and I remember thinking, hmmm, I'll remember that name, and I also remember pegging him as AMG's new age music guru (how wrong I was). Searching for a review for Idaho's This Way Out on AMG turned up a review by Nabisco, which again made me think, hmmm, I'll remember that name. In 2001 I discover ILM and all falls into place.

I've had to do some database searches of marketing related stuff for the marketing people at work and come across Tom's name. That's about it, though.

Searching for Serge I came across a lovely article penned by Tom; searching for Pulp I came across a lovely article penned by Ned--both times I was reading and thinking what a great article, both times I was pleasantly surprised when I got to the end and saw that they were written by IlXors.

The other day, I was happy to get this Yahoo hit to my blog. I was really happy to find out I came first. I was overjoyed to discover that, actually, we get an ILXer blog 1-2 for the first links.

I was looking for CARTER! information on Allmusic recently, and found out that the review I was reading was written by Ned. I heart Ned even more now.

Allso see Andy Kellman's story from here.

I know this is the other way round, but when you google my name the second thing you get is An Analysis of the Characteristics of Rough Bed Turbulent Shear Stresses in an Open Channel. Which is fascinating. And he's a James E Ball as well.
