Nick, or N, has gone over the 10,000 mark on ILE. He is only the third to do so, following Ned and Mark S. He deserves a cheer for his devotion.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Friday, 24 January 2003 22:27 (twenty-three years ago)

WOO HOO. Graham, can you compile all this into a book that makes no sense at all, please?

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 24 January 2003 22:28 (twenty-three years ago)

You know it's disgraceful, right?

Cozen (Cozen), Friday, 24 January 2003 22:30 (twenty-three years ago)

yay for N! ILE's most obnoxious poster evah!

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Friday, 24 January 2003 22:33 (twenty-three years ago)

Justyn Dillingham (Justyn Dillingham), Friday, 24 January 2003 22:40 (twenty-three years ago)

Hip hip hooray for N! On his magical 10000th post birthing day!

I have 8,000 and something now...I plan to coincide my 10,000th post with my 27th birthday.

jel -- (jel), Friday, 24 January 2003 22:46 (twenty-three years ago)

Rate I'm going, I should be getting to 10k somewhere in the latter half of the year. I hope to be among the first ten people to get there, but I don't know if I will be.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Friday, 24 January 2003 22:49 (twenty-three years ago)

I demand a words-per-post average before we get too excited!

nabisco (nabisco), Friday, 24 January 2003 22:51 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes Graham, why can't we know the number of words each person has posted? That wouldn't be a ludicrous waste of time at all.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Friday, 24 January 2003 22:59 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm sure he's onto it.

I'm off now. bye.. xx

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 24 January 2003 23:05 (twenty-three years ago)

The sad this is that post will probably help your average.

nabisco (nabisco), Friday, 24 January 2003 23:08 (twenty-three years ago)

My head nearly exploded, nitsuh.

Cozen (Cozen), Friday, 24 January 2003 23:18 (twenty-three years ago)

:(

"The sad thing" etc ... now the sad this is that I thought that was a pretty clever comment to make.

nabisco (nabisco), Friday, 24 January 2003 23:20 (twenty-three years ago)

Well done, N., i hope 2 c u continue yr reign as a one-letter conformity destroyer (alternately: conformity re-assesser)

naked as sin (naked as sin), Saturday, 25 January 2003 00:47 (twenty-three years ago)

Where is the 'top 100 things N might have said' thread? I can't find it for love nor bloody money.

Ally C (Ally C), Saturday, 25 January 2003 02:10 (twenty-three years ago)

ally c - ?? i am not aware of this thread.

naked man - thanks, that's the nicest thing anyone has said about me since a review in the school magazine said I deserved a paragraph all to myself.

nabsico - yeah I was thinking my posts are usually quite short on average.

To what? Being perceived as a loud, obnoxious asshole?

N. (nickdastoor), Saturday, 25 January 2003 17:36 (twenty-three years ago)

You're really taking this rudest man on ILX thing too far.

Ronan (Ronan), Saturday, 25 January 2003 17:40 (twenty-three years ago)

NO - I meant me, not MarkH!

N. (nickdastoor), Saturday, 25 January 2003 17:44 (twenty-three years ago)

if he *had* meant me I would've looked into the possibilities of writing a script to do what I did x1000, in retaliation.
(tho i'd shurely have a Moderator on my tail....)

MarkH (MarkH), Saturday, 25 January 2003 17:46 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh I see, I'm just tetchy cos my finger smells of grease and it won't wash off.

Ronan (Ronan), Saturday, 25 January 2003 17:49 (twenty-three years ago)

I've thought about working out a word count before, and there's no easy way. My first estimate says 267702 words by Nick, excluding titles (that's counting spaces+1, and even then it's approximate).

And congratulaitons Nick. The book will be out in the fall.

Graham (graham), Monday, 27 January 2003 16:41 (twenty-three years ago)

Yay! Truly admirable!

Sarah McLusky (coco), Monday, 27 January 2003 16:45 (twenty-three years ago)

An average of 26 words a post? Now that's pithy.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 27 January 2003 16:52 (twenty-three years ago)

Dude I'll bet anything I have the highest words-per-post average for the second half of 2001. Phil Masstransfer might pose some stiff competition but I think I could take him for selected periods there.

nabisco (nabisco), Monday, 27 January 2003 16:54 (twenty-three years ago)

Nick on ILM = 72854
Mark S: ILE = 411964 ILM = 289731
Ned: ILE = 377445, ILM = 350104

You can work out words/post averages yourself.

Graham (graham), Monday, 27 January 2003 16:55 (twenty-three years ago)

two months pass...
REVIVAL - where has N. been lately?

Mandee, Thursday, 24 April 2003 03:19 (twenty-three years ago)
