A good story I have to tell

One of my roommates is an 8th grade teacher in Bedford-Stuyvesant, the worst area of Brooklyn. One of his students is a girl with fairly short hair, so the other kids call her Baldy. She came into school on Tuesday having gotten hair extensions, and was bringin' in da riff-raff. Fed up with her, my roommate suddenly exclaimed, "You may have got your hair did, but you done lost yo' mind!" And with that the class erupted.

I just love this story and have been telling it lots lately. It's a good one, yeah?

Cool. I don't think Bed-Stuy is the worst area of Brooklyn, at least not anymore.

Why would a teacher ridicule a student? That's awful (and very reminiscent of my fifth grade experience).

You guys are too sensitive!

(if it calms anyone's fears she laughed too and they really like each other. it was in good fun.)

Good fun now, but wait till she gets to tenth grade and axes the fuck out of him to death in his sleep, eh?
