A PowerBook! I have to wait a couple days before I can mail the guy a check though.

Sean (Sean), Monday, 27 January 2003 17:07 (twenty-three years ago)

An untested Minidisc walkman on eBay for £30. Works fine though, unlike my old [identical] one, which I paid most of ten times that for and it promptly fell apart)

Graham (graham), Monday, 27 January 2003 17:09 (twenty-three years ago)

He's just going by the name Vic now, Tom. I think we should respect that.

Last for me: pre-ordered the new Massive Attack CD, despite lukewarm reviews.

*pondering* - about $400.00 worth of books on Amazon, some CDs from that great 'Support an indigent blues musician site', bras and panties from Vicky's, a new wireless ethernet card, and some gourmet pasta sauces and noodles - oh, and some gourmet chocolate sauces, too. (Yeah, I love buying over the Internet - don't have to get dressed to shop.)

I'm Passing Open Windows (Ms Laura), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 05:27 (twenty-three years ago)

leigh (leigh), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 17:59 (twenty-three years ago)

Ha ha - I just bought the Sister Janet Mead album from GEMM. I haven't listened to it yet - I bought it for the novelty value. Still that "Lord's Prayer" really rocks. Yesterday I got the book "Bubblegum music is the naked truth" and I can't put it down. I'll be really sad when I finish it.

Kerry (dymaxia), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 18:09 (twenty-three years ago)

I think I have only purchased one thing over the internet: a record on ebay called "Let's Make Love Tonight" by L'Amour featuring Crystal on Broccoli Rabe records (The Sound of Freehold, NJ!) It is classic post-disco. I almost bought a bunch of DJ equipment, but I then discovered that a good pro DJ friend of mine knew the owners of the place I was going to buy from (turntablelab in NYC), and I used the phone, mentioned his name, and got a big discount!
