Preview for worst movie ever

Just a warning. Went to see Confessions of a Dangerous Mind on Saturday and saw a preview for what will be the worst movie ever. "Stars" Cuba Gooding, Jr. (Oscar winner!!!) and Horatio Sanz from SNL. They are "lady's men," alway huntin' for women, and decide to go on a cruise to try and get chicks. But they accidently sign up for a GAY CRUISE! Hilarity insues as they first try to be macho, manly men, then Cuba falls for the guy-hating woman who works on the cruise, and pretends that he's gay so that she won't hate him. Of course, one of his exgirlfriends (Vanessa Williams) is also on the cruise for some reason and is shocked to find out that he is gay! What will Cuba do? Sanz's role seems to be primarily to spout "hilarious" homophobic jokes, which means he will end up actually being gay at the end of the movie. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the movie.

Some Like It Crap.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 27 January 2003 19:48 (twenty-three years ago)

Isn't it called "Gay Cruise" or something equally painful? I remember thinking it was a title unlikely to trick people into the theater (as anyone who's actually seen a preview is VERY unlikely to go).

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 27 January 2003 19:50 (twenty-three years ago)

it's called Snow Dogs

James Blount (James Blount), Monday, 27 January 2003 19:51 (twenty-three years ago)

Please, please don't let this movie ruin Horatio Sanz's actual funny.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 27 January 2003 19:52 (twenty-three years ago)

SNL already beat 'em to the punch

James Blount (James Blount), Monday, 27 January 2003 19:53 (twenty-three years ago)

Seriously though, Cuba Gooding Jr. must have the worst agent ever!!

Aaron W (Aaron W), Monday, 27 January 2003 19:54 (twenty-three years ago)

Apparently this has already been released in some parts of the world.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Monday, 27 January 2003 19:54 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh! This film was on a while back over here, Victoria Silsvtedt is in it too. It's called Boat Trip. I haven't seen it, and I don't think I'll bother.

jel -- (jel), Monday, 27 January 2003 19:55 (twenty-three years ago)

I thought it looked great from the trailer. I didn't see it either. Cuba Gooding Jr, eh?

Graham (graham), Monday, 27 January 2003 19:57 (twenty-three years ago)

Somebody give that man an Oscar!

James Blount (James Blount), Monday, 27 January 2003 19:58 (twenty-three years ago)

are there talking animals in this?

James Blount (James Blount), Monday, 27 January 2003 19:59 (twenty-three years ago)

no :(

jel -- (jel), Monday, 27 January 2003 19:59 (twenty-three years ago)

(woah! not that I've seen it or anything)

jel -- (jel), Monday, 27 January 2003 20:01 (twenty-three years ago)

too late!

James Blount (James Blount), Monday, 27 January 2003 20:04 (twenty-three years ago)

I can't wait

Andy K (Andy K), Monday, 27 January 2003 20:08 (twenty-three years ago)

if they could get Charles Nelson Reilly and Paul Lynde* to do the voices for a cgi'ed scottie and bloodhound from Lady & the Tramp, getting into hilarious "jams", etc., Horatio giving into his forbidden lust, etc., then I might go see this. if Baha Men were on the soundtrack (which they would be).

* Brian Cox if Lynde or Reilly are dead

James Blount (James Blount), Monday, 27 January 2003 20:08 (twenty-three years ago)

Paul Lynde apparently died just over 21 years ago due to "extreme substance abuse" (imdb.com).

"I'm still alive though boys!"

Aaron W (Aaron W), Monday, 27 January 2003 20:53 (twenty-three years ago)

I've seen Boat Trip in a sneak preview last Thursday, and it's a really BAD copy of Some Like It Hot with some glossy-but-empty R'n'B video Schickse where Marilyn was supposed to be.

Worst movie of the year so far, and yes, I've seen Ghost Ship. (Has there been a good film featuring a cruise ship since Juggernaut? I think not.)

Roger Moore playing Joe E. Brown's part in a slightly homo British gentleman fashion was rather amusing, though.

jot eff pe, Monday, 27 January 2003 20:56 (twenty-three years ago)

Was Paul Lynde the rat in Charlotte's Web?

Dave Beckhouse (Dave Beckhouse), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 00:07 (twenty-three years ago)

is it called GAY: The Movie?

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 00:19 (twenty-three years ago)

no wait! Sea Men! Sea Men: The Movie!

Horatio must have said "this is gonna be good! TOMCATS good!"

Cuba said: "this is gonna kick ass! RAT RACE ass! CHILL FACTOR ass!"

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 00:21 (twenty-three years ago)

Roger Moore said: "This will rock my world! my SPICE WORLD!"

James Blount (James Blount), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 00:35 (twenty-three years ago)

Vivica Fox said "Remind me to kill my agent! Right after I KILL BILL!"

Richard Roundtree made some lame Shaft joke but it was badass because Richard Roundtree made it.

James Blount (James Blount), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 00:48 (twenty-three years ago)

what did happen to cuba goodly juniorish ?
funny cause i watched 'as good as it gets' last night
and it appeared they were using like, the worst take
of each scene when he was in them. like, was that
to make nicholson look better or is it that he makes
people look like they're in the worst take when it could be
the best take they did ?!!

dye get me ?

piscesboy, Tuesday, 28 January 2003 00:55 (twenty-three years ago)

Did he like blow all his money MC Hammer stylee or something? "Seriously, I won an Oscar once!"

The modern Pia Zadora. Except with an Oscar instead of a Golden Globe.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 07:06 (twenty-three years ago)

ha yes !
did you know, you probably did,
that pia zadora has a private plane that says
'here comes pia' on it ?

once she was so bad
in an off-broadway performance of 'diary of anne frank'
that at the end when the nazis come in to find the family,
people in the audience shouted 'she's in the cupboard !'

piscesboy, Tuesday, 28 January 2003 16:55 (twenty-three years ago)

I love that story. Pia also had a party during the Rodney King riots on the roof of her mansion (she married rich... smart girl) to watch the city burn in the distance.

Aaron W (Aaron W), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 17:00 (twenty-three years ago)

C'mon - Chill Factor = classic.

Boat Trip = lamest title evah! (It sounds a bit like Road Trip...)

Pete (Pete), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 17:07 (twenty-three years ago)

show me the money!

Chris V. (Chris V), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 17:27 (twenty-three years ago)

they should change the name of BOAT TRIP to BLOW THE MAN DOWN: THE MOVIE.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 00:11 (twenty-three years ago)

Boat Trip??? Is this some sort of gay lingo I've mysteriously missed out on?

(this is the part where you make up a gay definition for 'boat trip'.)

teeny (teeny), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 00:20 (twenty-three years ago)

I hear that they go to the Cayman Islands. They all get free t-shirts that say "Cayman My Ass".

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 02:19 (twenty-three years ago)

It's really too bad Cruising is already taken.

Actually, if you incorporated Al Pacino's undercover leatherboy into this Boat Trip story, you might have something pretty interesting.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 02:30 (twenty-three years ago)

They all get free t-shirts that say "Cayman My Ass".

Why wasn't that the title of the movie??

Vinnie (vprabhu), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 02:34 (twenty-three years ago)

six years pass...

Least promising trailer I've seen in a while:

http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/theuglytruth/
http://www.theuglytruth-movie.com/

it's a generic romantic comedy where two people hate each other at first and then fall in love except:
a) entire plot is based around played-out stereotypes about male and female behavior
b) "stars" two actors with a total personality quotient of about negative 15

congratulations (n/a), Wednesday, 17 June 2009 13:50 (seventeen years ago)

PS I saw this trailer before "Drag Me to Hell" *)($*)#$(*)$@#

congratulations (n/a), Wednesday, 17 June 2009 13:51 (seventeen years ago)

Sorry, this one's worse:
