I don't think ILE is particularly (or at least not *unproductively*) aggressive at the moment. Maybe a bit 'edgily fractious'. Though I avoided that 'how do I make my wife like music' question firstly cause it seemed annoying and then cause it looked a bit mental.

Putting a lid on it won't help though (if it's even there - I've not noticed at all, it all seems pretty peaceable to me). A big fight usually clears the air a bit, and it's likely to be between hardened bruiser regulars because none of the recent new people seem very combatative.
