CDR problem

Long shot: can anyone suggest how to resolve a problem I'm having with CDR's - it's driving me nuts. After I've burned a comp mix, using the Samsung Disc Maker on my Creative Playcenter, the music on the CDR plays well, in terms of fidelity, but the tracks often fail to flow consecutively. Not that they skip or jump: a track plays in its entirety, and then the CDR simply sticks, treads water, not allowing the following track to play.

two years pass...
revive! I have a different problem.

Namely - wtf do I need to download on Windows XP that won't cause driver problems, but will allow me to re-record CDR-W's?

mac "disk utility" has no beef with erasing audio CD's burnt to them*... Windows however is a total pain & refuses point blank to erase them. Gah.

*don't worry, they don't get put into a non-compatible stereo
