kephm, Tuesday, 28 January 2003 21:22 (twenty-three years ago)

Hi, kephm. You've been here longer than I have I think. But hello again none-the-less.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 21:25 (twenty-three years ago)

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 21:26 (twenty-three years ago)

Greetings indeed!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 21:30 (twenty-three years ago)

Hello and welcome, kephm.

jel -- (jel), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 22:08 (twenty-three years ago)

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 22:52 (twenty-three years ago)

This is how Nick addresses his penis.

Lara (Lara), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 23:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Kephm is my penis.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 23:01 (twenty-three years ago)

I withdraw my welcome.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 23:02 (twenty-three years ago)

donna (donna), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 23:03 (twenty-three years ago)

I withdraw my penis.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 23:03 (twenty-three years ago)

Lurkdom! What in the name of all that is sacred and holy is lurkdom?

Nick??

Lara (Lara), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 23:04 (twenty-three years ago)

Lurkdom = my underpants.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 23:06 (twenty-three years ago)

Hmm.. I am thinking this not a very nice welcome.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 23:07 (twenty-three years ago)

I was about to say that I didn't think this was very fair on kephm but I don't know what they like, so.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 23:08 (twenty-three years ago)

Well he's out of 'lurkdom' (euch!) now so things have got to be getting better for the poor fella.

Lara (Lara), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 23:08 (twenty-three years ago)

Sorry kephm.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 23:11 (twenty-three years ago)

Hi kephem - I tried to lurk, but sucked at it. I'm glad to know that others have more stick-to-it-tivness.

I'm Passing Open Windows (Ms Laura), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 23:13 (twenty-three years ago)

I think that kephm has enough evidence here to press charges.

Lara (Lara), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 23:13 (twenty-three years ago)

yo kephm!

so what city you in?

gareth (gareth), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 23:48 (twenty-three years ago)

God bless Gareth and his 'back to basics', earthy goodness!

Lara (Lara), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 23:49 (twenty-three years ago)

I think that kephm has enough evidence here to press charges.

If he's been lurking here long enough he knows what we're like. So nice to meet you, Kephm.

j.lu (j.lu), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 00:08 (twenty-three years ago)

Colin Meeder (Mert), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 09:12 (twenty-three years ago)

hi kephm, welcome to the real world!

di smith (lucylurex), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 09:40 (twenty-three years ago)

Greetings kephm, I am struggling with how to pronounce your name. I'll just think of you as kep, if that's OK with you?

smee (smee), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 09:56 (twenty-three years ago)

Hello Kephm! I'm guessing yr name's pronounced "keffum".

MarkH (MarkH), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 11:52 (twenty-three years ago)

Good evening.

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 11:54 (twenty-three years ago)

Is Boston a good place to visit?

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 14:26 (twenty-three years ago)

Sure, sarah you can meet Dan Perry in person. And me. and the other bostonites, im not sure there are any besides us two. Oh and the new dude welcome Kephm!

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 14:28 (twenty-three years ago)

Is it better to drive there or take a train?

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 14:29 (twenty-three years ago)

where are you coming from exactly?

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 14:31 (twenty-three years ago)

Drinking in Boston roX0rs.

Tim (Tim), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 14:32 (twenty-three years ago)

I haven't been out drinking in the city in a long time. Last time was about a year ago.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 14:42 (twenty-three years ago)

Richmond, VA

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 14:43 (twenty-three years ago)

Mostly, I guess I was wondering if it's a fine city to drive around in or if it's too crazy for that (too many cars already).

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 14:43 (twenty-three years ago)

You could drive around the city, but if you have no idea where you are going I suggest taking the train. Even that can be somewhat complex if your unfamiliar with Boston. But most of the good parts of the city are all within walking distance.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 14:45 (twenty-three years ago)

Know a good hotel I should check out?

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 14:54 (twenty-three years ago)

how much you willing to spend on a room? there are a ton. Dan Perry to thread as well!

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 15:02 (twenty-three years ago)

Welcome.

Andrew (enneff), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 15:05 (twenty-three years ago)

Sarah check this out.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 15:09 (twenty-three years ago)

Chris, I was hoping for something $100 a night or less, but I don't want to stay in a hell hole. Plus, I could save up some vacation mula before then. What's a good area in Boston to stay in if I'll be car-less? And how's the public transportation there?

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 15:16 (twenty-three years ago)

Public transportation is good. The T is accessible from mostly anywhere, if not a bus is sure to bring you anywhere. Like I said, the T can be a bit confusing Inbound/Outbound business confused the hell out of me when I first lived there. Well there are a lot of places to stay for carless peeps, like I said public transport is available everywhere so no car is not a problem. I went without one when I lived in the city for 5 years.

I suggest possibly a hotel in Brighton, Allston, Brookline, Somerville. All within a 20 minute ride on the train (if all the college students aren't around).

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 15:42 (twenty-three years ago)

bounce

Graham (graham), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 15:52 (twenty-three years ago)

connection of threads?

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 15:55 (twenty-three years ago)

holla

ron (ron), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 16:07 (twenty-three years ago)

something to realize is the t stops running 1230-130am, depends on the line. there is a cheap and safe hotel in kenmore square that is under $100. i cant recall the name. last call is 1am so drink fast. goto the middleast in cambridge to see a band. or next door to tt the bears. baseball season spells parking disaster for kenmore square come baseball season. well, parking is a bitch all year round. cabs are your best late night way home. i am really bored of boston so i dunno what else to say.

kephm, Wednesday, 29 January 2003 18:54 (twenty-three years ago)

Where do you go on your breaks, kephm?

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 18:56 (twenty-three years ago)

Kenmore Square hotels... Are you talking about that place on top of Uno's or someplace else?

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 19:12 (twenty-three years ago)

The Biltmore? I think thats the name of it. Theres HoJo's on Beacon st.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 19:17 (twenty-three years ago)

boo!

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 19:19 (twenty-three years ago)

sarah, vacation breaks? i spend most of my time off in nyc and i hope tgoing to visit japan come november.
boston is plenty fun, i just want a change of scenery.

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 30 January 2003 14:54 (twenty-three years ago)

Shoot, I wish I could remember the name of that hotel. It isn't the Buckminster, is it?

(I look at this thread title and think "Just one more and I'll walka away/All the everything you win turns to nothing today...")

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 30 January 2003 14:59 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes, the Buckminster. Thats it. What the heck is the Biltmore?

Chris V. (Chris V), Thursday, 30 January 2003 15:03 (twenty-three years ago)

Isn't that an old-school glamor hotel in New York?

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 30 January 2003 15:04 (twenty-three years ago)

I think so.

Chris V. (Chris V), Thursday, 30 January 2003 15:06 (twenty-three years ago)

stolenbus (stolenbus), Thursday, 30 January 2003 15:15 (twenty-three years ago)

Hello kephm and stolenbus! (Er, I think I already greeted kephm, but I am too lazy to scroll back up and see if my memory is working correctly today. So greetings to both and all of that [and I am a new poster, too, though I've been lurking for some time]).
