Congratulations, Anthony. That sounds like an interesting challenge, to say the least.

I'm Passing Open Windows (Ms Laura), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 04:44 (twenty-three years ago)

Amazing. I mean, I can't imagine any school around here in Orange County even trying to do that! Well done.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 04:46 (twenty-three years ago)

Rock Anthony!!!!

That Girl (thatgirl), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 05:09 (twenty-three years ago)

tell them to not use poppers

boxcubed (boxcubed), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 05:21 (twenty-three years ago)

I just got a new one, too, Anthony! And I'm a little nervous, I've never quit a job before, do I have to write an official notice that says apologetic phrases like, "I regret to inform you. . . " or do I just walk up to my boss and say, "Yo, I found a job elsewhere, I'll be leavin', like, in 2-weekish." ??!?

Mandee, Wednesday, 29 January 2003 05:41 (twenty-three years ago)

I think formalizing the "Yo, chief" speech a tad & chatting with the big bossman might be the best thing to do.

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 05:47 (twenty-three years ago)

well done anthony! and mandee!

in about 5 hours i'll know if i too have gotten a new job.

mitch lastnamewithheld (mitchlnw), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 07:43 (twenty-three years ago)

Yay, Anthony! Woooooooo!!! We'll get everyone in this bitch employed soon!

kate, Wednesday, 29 January 2003 10:04 (twenty-three years ago)

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 10:07 (twenty-three years ago)

Congratulations Anthony & Mandee!

smee (smee), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 10:47 (twenty-three years ago)

It's nearly a miracle that I found a job; the unemployment rates here in Denver are nearing depression status.

Mandee, Wednesday, 29 January 2003 18:05 (twenty-three years ago)

Congratulations!

Mary (Mary), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 18:34 (twenty-three years ago)

seven years pass...

I got a new job.

Well, offered it a new job. Bar a lottery win I'll accept officially on Monday. 20% more pay doing something I want to do rather than the odd purgatory I've been in for the last 2 years.

Rage, Resentment, Spleen (Dr Morbius), Friday, 29 January 2010 18:12 (sixteen years ago)

Thank you. The last 2 years have pretty much been career hell; I was moved to an unsuitable team, missed out on several chances to escape by very small margins, but this is a more suitable position than any of the others I went for, and it's with really nice, interesting, cool people, doing really nice, interesting, cool stuff.

No, YOU'RE a disgusting savage (Scik Mouthy), Friday, 29 January 2010 18:19 (sixteen years ago)

Less time for writing about music tho...

Bob Six, Friday, 29 January 2010 18:25 (sixteen years ago)

I've retired anyway!

No, YOU'RE a disgusting savage (Scik Mouthy), Friday, 29 January 2010 18:44 (sixteen years ago)

one year passes...

I got another new job. This one is great but it's fixed term contract, the new one is permanant contract and slightly more the route I want to pursue. Huzzah! I shall still be working quite closely with the really nice, interesting, cool people mentioned above, so all is good.

lol sickmouthy (Scik Mouthy), Friday, 19 August 2011 14:01 (fourteen years ago)

Hey Bob (Scik Mouthy), Friday, 29 September 2017 12:20 (eight years ago)

what is it?

imago, Friday, 29 September 2017 12:22 (eight years ago)

Still at the uni, a secondment onto a project for a year to 18 months to 'revolutionise' an aspect of our comms and marketing. Nice payrise and a tight, project-deadline focus for a while.

Hey Bob (Scik Mouthy), Friday, 29 September 2017 12:55 (eight years ago)

cool!

not that anything you do will ever measure up to getting 65daysofstatic to record an album quietly ;)

imago, Friday, 29 September 2017 12:56 (eight years ago)

Hahaha; I referenced that article in the application, actually, as evidence of 'explaining technical things to non-technical audiences'.

Hey Bob (Scik Mouthy), Friday, 29 September 2017 13:22 (eight years ago)

Everyone is working in comms and stakeholder engagement, relationship management, press liaison, and marketing these days. Can I predict that In five years time there will be 2 people left in your organisation producing the actual “content “.

Luna Schlosser, Friday, 29 September 2017 13:56 (eight years ago)

what is "the actual content" for a university

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Friday, 29 September 2017 14:33 (eight years ago)

The prospectus, the website, the subject brochures, every email admissions send, the email you get when you register for an open day, the videos on the youtube channel, the brochure explaining student loans, the talks at open days, the pamphlet for muslim students, etc etc etc etc.

Hey Bob (Scik Mouthy), Friday, 29 September 2017 15:26 (eight years ago)
