I did.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 13:44 (twenty-three years ago)

So, is it any good? I heard that one song and I kind of like it.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 13:45 (twenty-three years ago)

I did get the new Sea and The Cake album.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 13:45 (twenty-three years ago)

who are Zwan?

MarkH (MarkH), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 13:46 (twenty-three years ago)

I've always though it was a shame we didn't have a board for discussing music...

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 13:46 (twenty-three years ago)

I like it. It makes me nostalgic.
I was listening to it on the way into work today and as Billy sang "Everything feels like rain" in the title track, it started to rain really hard. It was some crazy shit.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 13:48 (twenty-three years ago)

But Andrew, ILE = I LOVE EVERYTHING and music is something. Duh.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 13:49 (twenty-three years ago)

Am I right or am I right?

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 13:50 (twenty-three years ago)

yes.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 13:51 (twenty-three years ago)

That Zwan website is the most atrocious thing I've seen in ages.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 13:51 (twenty-three years ago)

Hmm... I haven't seen it. Must go check it out.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 13:53 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah. That's a bit too much color and flashiness for me to take in this early in the morning.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 13:57 (twenty-three years ago)

its a very apt name. zwan is also a (very mediocre) sausage brand here in belgium.

nathalie (nathalie), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 13:58 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah, the band's signature font isn't the greatest either. But what can you do? I'm a sucker for Billy Corgan and I'm happy that he's moving away from the black skintight catwoman-like suit look.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 14:04 (twenty-three years ago)

He'll come back to it. Oh yes. ;-)

Album = good. More later on why in detail.

Website = well, I like it. Then again I know the designer.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 14:10 (twenty-three years ago)

I kind of like Billy Corgan now that he's not a miserable sod, plus the single seems decent. Maybe I'll check this out.

mark p (Mark P), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 14:19 (twenty-three years ago)

Gah, that website is awful! Ten minutes spent sitting through dumb animations and I still couldn't find out the name of the cute bassist (but now I know - Paz Lenchantin!)

Vinnie (vprabhu), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 15:36 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh yuck. Billy Corgan makes Eddie Vedder look worthwhile. Yuck yuck yuck.

Mark C (Mark C), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 15:40 (twenty-three years ago)

That's expressions of approval I hear, Mark C? Good, good...

(Have just started relistening to the album. Mmm, I do like "Lyric," very good start to things.)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 15:42 (twenty-three years ago)

B-b-but Zwan have Dave Pajo as a member! He is my hero so I will have to buy the album whatever it sounds like.

Mooro (Mooro), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 16:15 (twenty-three years ago)

And it sounds BRILLIANT! Therefore you're set.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 16:28 (twenty-three years ago)

IT'S NOT OUT HERE TIL THE 10TH OF FEBRUARY! :( (though, Marcello says that HMV have import copies, so all might not be lost)

Some really great singles out this week though, TATU, Kelly O, and Kelly R! Wow!

jel -- (jel), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 18:06 (twenty-three years ago)

Tis worth it, my dear Jel. Consider it something to look forward to soon.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 18:07 (twenty-three years ago)

I didn't want to risk buying the TATU single. The CD has the vid on it, so I thought I'd be on a police database.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 19:48 (twenty-three years ago)

I thought for sure that it was Ned that would start a Corgan related thread.

Nicole (Nicole), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 22:49 (twenty-three years ago)

IT'S NOT OUT HERE TIL THE 10TH OF FEBRUARY!

If 'here' means the UK you could try ordering it from CD WOW! for only £8.99 (£12.99 for teh limited edition with DVD)& no postage charges. They say its available now & their stuff generally arrives in about a week. Even though it comes from Hong Kong.

Their prices are mental - I suspect we are not paying UK VAT.

Mooro (Mooro), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 23:41 (twenty-three years ago)

I did

A Nairn (moretap), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 23:42 (twenty-three years ago)

I thought for sure that it was Ned that would start a Corgan related thread.

I'm not alone!

£12.99 for teh limited edition with DVD

See, this is the thing, I didn't know about this damn edition until after I had bought my regular copy. Grr, grr!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 23:43 (twenty-three years ago)

the websites got lots of good 'home movies'

A Nairn (moretap), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 23:44 (twenty-three years ago)

is TATU only out this week? blimey, i thought it'd been and gone...

(i care not for yr baldy goth blokes ;))

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Wednesday, 29 January 2003 23:54 (twenty-three years ago)

As a Pumpkins fan, I can honestly say I'm disappointed. It's all driven by uninspired guitar playing and forgettable hooks and includes some of the most inane lyrics Corgan has ever written.

Curtis Stephens, Wednesday, 29 January 2003 23:55 (twenty-three years ago)

The TATU album was out a couple of weeks ago (Mark had a copy at the Mary & Felicity FAP), but the single only came out this week.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Thursday, 30 January 2003 12:56 (twenty-three years ago)

I think Baby Let's Rock sounds like it would be a Foo Fighters Song.
