I have to put together an online Awards Ceremony......can anyone help me with the music bit, please?

There's this "Review of 2002" thing on another board I visit, and somehow I have been lumbered with putting together a glittering evening of entertainment during which the Awards (poster of the year, flirt of the year, most argumentative poster, that sort of thing) will be presented.

I'd like to interperse all the awards and acceptance speeches with some music, like they do at the Brit Awards and stuff. I have found a few links to full-length chart singles which people could click on thus giving the illusion of live musical interludes, but I don't have many and I'd very much like some inspiration please.

Does anyone know off-hand any URLs I could paste into the thread I'm creating? Don't go to any time or trouble (I'll make some time to do some searches myself at the weekend) but if anyone already has any links I could use, I'd be eternally grateful. Thankee kindly :)

an awards ceremony for posters on an internet forum?

Yes, an awards ceremony for posters on a message board. It's a sort of light-hearted mutual appreciation thing - people have been voting for the thread that made them laugh most, the most useful advice they received, the person they would most like to meet, that sort of thing. It's just a bit of fun, really.

So on this "another message board I visit", when somebody says "Best Thread Ever", that's like, binding?

Okay, I can see this thread was a mistake - perhaps someone would be kind enough to delete it. Thanks.

CJ, they're teasing! Or they should be. ILX has done the same exact thing in the past. :-) That said, I really don't know of a good source for what you need music-wise offhand...
