Throwing away pen lids: classic or dud?

It saddens me when I find a pen and it's lid has been lost or at worst thrown away.

What says you?

Do you think the army don't need working pens????? This is U+K.

It is fully dud to throw pen lids away. Chewing them, blowing through them, sticking them on the wrong pens - all frowned upon also.

it makes me sad when i find the pen i have been looking for the past 3 months , only to realize the matching pencap i was holding onto for 2 and a half months, i recently threw away because i thought i would never find the pen. :(

Answer = use nice Parker Jotters or else spaceman pens!. I will take a photo of the spaceman pen soon, and when I learn how to post pictures, I shall post it!

there was a bit in a newspaper today about a woman who had breast implants and the surgeon accidentally left a pen lid inside her and they never found it for years, which i found deeply scary.
