Anthony on my Mind.

The first thing that I was consciously thinking of this morning was Anthony Easton. I have no idea why he popped into the foreground of my thoughts. I think I might have had a dream about him writing something in a newspaper but it's all terribly vague.

What was on your mind when you woke up this morning?

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 30 January 2003 12:16 (twenty-three years ago)

My knee. Not literally. But thoughts about the potential healing/non-healing of my knee.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Thursday, 30 January 2003 12:17 (twenty-three years ago)

bloody work, bloody cold, and bloody hungover (but that one's my fault)

Fuzzy (Fuzzy), Thursday, 30 January 2003 12:19 (twenty-three years ago)

Poker.

Mark C (Mark C), Thursday, 30 January 2003 14:13 (twenty-three years ago)

I thought it was friday and wondered where I'd get money to get pissed.

Ronan (Ronan), Thursday, 30 January 2003 14:17 (twenty-three years ago)

Does the extra time give you a competitive advantage?

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 30 January 2003 14:19 (twenty-three years ago)

My first thoughts were of horrible ways to kill nasty wee yappy dogs from hell!

smee (smee), Thursday, 30 January 2003 14:19 (twenty-three years ago)

smee, yer obsessed.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Thursday, 30 January 2003 14:21 (twenty-three years ago)

whether i had to get up yet, lunch, breakfast.

Maria (Maria), Thursday, 30 January 2003 14:22 (twenty-three years ago)

S'not my fault, it's the last thing I hear at night and the first thing I hear in the morning! When I'm an evil dictator this shall be my chosen method of torture...mwaa ha ha...

smee (smee), Thursday, 30 January 2003 14:23 (twenty-three years ago)

All those freaky dreams I had last night involving big parties and sleepovers.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Thursday, 30 January 2003 14:24 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes but puts me in severe financial strain, my Christmas beer ran out this week and my efforts to get a job have consisted of printing out my cv and remembering I hate work. I was thinking of going in for market research stuff or scientific experiments or whatever free money schemes exist. (this is not a joke does anyone know any, i'll do whatever)

Ronan (Ronan), Thursday, 30 January 2003 14:24 (twenty-three years ago)

I will give you a pound if you do my shopping for me.

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 30 January 2003 14:25 (twenty-three years ago)

Musical shopping?

Sarah McLusky (coco), Thursday, 30 January 2003 14:27 (twenty-three years ago)

Light machinery and the like.

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 30 January 2003 14:28 (twenty-three years ago)

No, that's conventional work.

Ronan (Ronan), Thursday, 30 January 2003 14:30 (twenty-three years ago)

Well MBNA are looking for people to do telephone sales at the moment. Very flexible hours and I think the money’s ok. Should I send you some detail on this? Admittedly, it will sap your life source.

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 30 January 2003 14:33 (twenty-three years ago)

I'll look for shop work first I think, I've been warned strongly off that kind of work, like friend grabbing me by the shoulders and swearing warned.

Ronan (Ronan), Thursday, 30 January 2003 14:35 (twenty-three years ago)

Oooh, new record shop being opening in Temple Bar and to be managed by John Dee, previously of Freebird. *They* were looking for people.

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 30 January 2003 14:40 (twenty-three years ago)

I'll look into it, that would be sweet, I'm going to be in town tomorrow anyway I'd say.

Ronan (Ronan), Thursday, 30 January 2003 14:43 (twenty-three years ago)

Anthony AIMed me last night to see if he could borrow 12 grand.

It's stuff like that.

mark p (Mark P), Thursday, 30 January 2003 14:45 (twenty-three years ago)

he wouldnt lend it to me either.

anthony easton (anthony), Thursday, 30 January 2003 14:47 (twenty-three years ago)

We are cruel.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 30 January 2003 15:28 (twenty-three years ago)

I had morning wood today, so obviously it was something good.

Chris V. (Chris V), Thursday, 30 January 2003 15:39 (twenty-three years ago)

I was thinking about the band Onyx when I was brushing my teeth, and the fact that I still remember all the lyrics to Sticky Fingaz' part in "Slam." What triggered this I have NO idea.

Aaron W (Aaron W), Thursday, 30 January 2003 15:49 (twenty-three years ago)

I was hoping the school wouldn't call me to sub for the horrible 5th Grade class I had yesterday. And they didn't! It's 8:23 am, I think I'm off the hook.

Arthur (Arthur), Thursday, 30 January 2003 16:23 (twenty-three years ago)

I woke up with the chorus to The Roots' "Sacrifice" stuck in my head, as has been the case for the last 10-or-so days.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 30 January 2003 16:28 (twenty-three years ago)

woke up this morning

Hmm nope don't understand this one. I had to do a waking night shift because of the fire strike. I got home at 8:30 and I think I was asleep by about 8:33. I woke up in time for the afternoon play, and my first thought was of going back to sleep.

Celeste (Celeste), Thursday, 30 January 2003 16:38 (twenty-three years ago)

Wow, 10 days...I start getting annoyed when a song sticks in my head for 4 or 5 days.

I woke up this morning to the phone ringing, wondering why the hell I hadn't gone to bed earlier.

JuliaA (j_bdules), Thursday, 30 January 2003 17:04 (twenty-three years ago)

Woke up this morning in a bit of a muddled mood, but things are on my mind...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 30 January 2003 17:27 (twenty-three years ago)

Georgia?

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 30 January 2003 17:43 (twenty-three years ago)

I note that "You were Anthony on my mind" doesn't fit the tune as well as "always".

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Friday, 31 January 2003 18:04 (twenty-three years ago)

I woke-up wondering why in the hell I thought it was a good idea to set my sound machine to "summer night" which means chirping crickets and other insect noises, instead of something peaceful, like the waves. Dreamin' all night of crickets crawling over my body doesn't make for happy sleep, I'm afraid.

I'm Passing Open Windows (Ms Laura), Friday, 31 January 2003 18:42 (twenty-three years ago)

Woke up thinking "oh f*ck, I'm late for work!"

Pandemonium ensued.

luna (luna.c), Friday, 31 January 2003 18:51 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah, 10 days is usually too long for me for the same song, but DAMN if that "Sacrifice" ain't shweet!

I woke up this morning with most of my muscles very sore from my band's gig last night...I really need to work on that "standing still and not flailing about like a landed fish" thing.
