As an addendum to the Logo thread. I like this one, by Sean Carruthers:
http://homepages.dsl.ca/~sean/dumbstuff/ilxlogo.jpg

But it's up to you guys. We need to settle on design specifics. I like yellow on black, but I have enough black t-shirts as it is.

Millar (Millar), Friday, 31 January 2003 00:07 (twenty-three years ago)

i still want my "pinefox loves beans" t-shirt

jess (dubplatestyle), Friday, 31 January 2003 00:10 (twenty-three years ago)

ILX:where you will find weirdos like this:

becky lucas (becky_lucas), Friday, 31 January 2003 00:11 (twenty-three years ago)

I love ILx so much, I changed my name.

RJG (RJG), Friday, 31 January 2003 00:21 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes, yellow on black. Medium (or small if they're cut giant) please.

Sean (Sean), Friday, 31 January 2003 00:27 (twenty-three years ago)

cafepress.com, no?

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Friday, 31 January 2003 00:32 (twenty-three years ago)

That design on the front, and on the back in the same font and colour:

www.ilxor.com

Or perhaps that should be skipped, to make people ask what it's all about? Or to search it out themselves, to make it all the more rewarding when they finally arrive?

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Friday, 31 January 2003 00:33 (twenty-three years ago)

Sean, you're a genius!

Kim (Kim), Friday, 31 January 2003 00:37 (twenty-three years ago)

I go for the latter. don't lead 'em to it.

That Girl (thatgirl), Friday, 31 January 2003 00:50 (twenty-three years ago)

can we not have t shirts or logos please

chaki (chaki), Friday, 31 January 2003 01:36 (twenty-three years ago)

What if we changed the slogan to

ILX: Home of the chaki

?

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Friday, 31 January 2003 01:37 (twenty-three years ago)

How about

ILX: do not wear if you hate us

possibly even more confusing!

I figure if every lame unfunny webcomic and amateur wrestling league is going to have merch then ILX should DEFINITELY have at least a T-shirt. We could put N.'s logo on the mugs.

I don't know about cafepress, Sterling. Is that readily available to people in other countries?

Millar (Millar), Friday, 31 January 2003 01:39 (twenty-three years ago)

this picture should be on it:

A Nairn (moretap), Friday, 31 January 2003 01:50 (twenty-three years ago)

Heh. That or my photoshopped face on Gino Vanelli. ;-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 31 January 2003 02:22 (twenty-three years ago)

No Ned, NO. Bad. Bad Ned!

Kim (Kim), Friday, 31 January 2003 02:27 (twenty-three years ago)

What's wrong with, "What is ILX (and can we eat it)?"

TMFTML (TMFTML), Friday, 31 January 2003 02:55 (twenty-three years ago)

From their faq:

"
We accept most international accounts and orders. You can now set up a store from almost anywhere, and your customers
can order from all over the world."

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Friday, 31 January 2003 03:16 (twenty-three years ago)

I vote for Ned on Gino. "ILX where all the sexy beasts hang out."

Chris V. (Chris V), Friday, 31 January 2003 13:10 (twenty-three years ago)

"ILX, yo"

g-kit (g-kit), Friday, 31 January 2003 15:11 (twenty-three years ago)

I think you should keep it simple.
The only text should be ILX, and then there should be some weird picture to make people confused.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Friday, 31 January 2003 15:17 (twenty-three years ago)

i don't need weird pictures to get confused.

g-kit (g-kit), Friday, 31 January 2003 15:17 (twenty-three years ago)

I was not at all behind this t-shirt idea until the Ned/Gino idea.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 31 January 2003 15:24 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm glad there is some agreement here. And I did like Ally's comment on the logo thread. ;-)

stevem (blueski), Friday, 31 January 2003 18:18 (twenty-three years ago)

or this one. http://www.base58.com/misc/nedbeach.jpg

Chris V. (Chris V), Friday, 31 January 2003 18:19 (twenty-three years ago)

I vote for the three letters and a picture of a chickenbear.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Friday, 31 January 2003 21:48 (twenty-three years ago)

I second Martin's motion.

Aaron W (Aaron W), Friday, 31 January 2003 21:51 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't think it's particularly nice to call the Photoshop of Ned a chickenbear.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 31 January 2003 21:53 (twenty-three years ago)

Well, it IS an unheard of species.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 31 January 2003 21:54 (twenty-three years ago)

the avalanches already have an (easily photoshoppable) ilx tshirt

minna (minna), Saturday, 1 February 2003 02:05 (twenty-three years ago)

If there is a t-shirt, the image must be this.

http://www.stevienixed.com/mark.jpg

OK, back to lurking. And thank you all for entertaining me on a regular basis.

Miranda, Saturday, 1 February 2003 02:33 (twenty-three years ago)

this must be on an ILX t-shirt:

Tad (llamasfur), Saturday, 1 February 2003 02:46 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh, Miranda - that is an excellent and totally absurd image - I love it! I've been looking for a design for a tattoo - that image has some potential *grin *

I'm Passing Open Windows (Ms Laura), Saturday, 1 February 2003 03:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Yummy, Tad. A well-developed young man in a collar and wrist cuffs? *swoon* *drool* And with chest hair, too? I am in lust! YIPPEE! I am going to slide off my chair I'm so excited. Thank you.

I'm Passing Open Windows (Ms Laura), Saturday, 1 February 2003 03:02 (twenty-three years ago)
