Not as good as Footballer's Wives.

Graham (graham), Friday, 7 February 2003 14:32 (twenty-three years ago)

oops, wrong section. let me move this.

this stays here as an awful warning

...of what?

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 7 February 2003 17:25 (twenty-three years ago)

Of Mark not appreciating GENIUS (but perhaps he does).

I'd say classic too. Am I the only ILX regular who saw them play live? (Only a few are old enough, and it sounds as if Mark might not have bothered.)

I'm jealous of Martin. Tell us stories!

Aaron W (Aaron W), Friday, 7 February 2003 19:02 (twenty-three years ago)

yes, Martin---do!

janni (janni), Friday, 7 February 2003 19:39 (twenty-three years ago)

Not much to say. I saw them supporting the Buzzcocks in Bristol. You know what they sound like. My wife (except we weren't married then) thought he danced as if he were having an epileptic fit standing up, and hated them. I thought they were very good, but liked the Buzzcocks better (and still do).

We are all jealous of the gig-going of the previous generation. I remember knowing this guy who'd been to loads of gigs in the '60s, the Stones and Who and Stax and Motown tours and loads more.

their best song. the lyrics - as per most JD songs - aren't that great, but the sound is warm and enveloping. nice drum sound too.

I thought Mark probably meant "a warning not to post ILM stuff on ILE" or something like that.
