I think you should buy flowers for Matthew.

PS I live in Ireland so it might be a bit expensive to do a floral exchange. Especially if the motivation was sympathy.

Anthony even if you don't have someone to give you flowers on valentines day this year, maybe you can remember the flowers you have received before.

White flowers are often the most beautiful and they make perfect placemarkers for a sad/sweet catalogue of memories. Sweet sadness is the appropriate thing to feel when we are reminded that we are alone in some way.

Perhaps you should remember the joy of receiving said white flowers and seek to bring that joy into another person's life, a certain NyC IlXor GiRL. [They say that giving is greater than receiving.] (hint)

My Thoughts on Love

Valentine's Day is really crummy,
It makes me want to be an Egyptian mummy
Hugs and kisses and candy galore,
I want to ride away on my bike,
Hearts! Hearts! Hearts! I want to scream!
Maybe I should let a bull on the scene,
Carnations, daises, and a rose,
If I dance with you I might step on your toes!
Valentine's Day is really crummy,
Oh...Here are your flowers, Mummy!

six years pass...

ummm I received two bouquets from the same person today while I was at work. The card read Shelby... I'm glad you contacted me again. I forgot there was one more thing I owed you. Come see me if you ever find yourself in the Nacogdoches area. Best, Johnny The story is he was a tenant at one of the apartment complexes that I manage. I saw him out one night a bar and talked to him for a little while, we exchanged phone numbers but never met up again. We had made a date but it some how fell through. So he turns in his notice and the day comes but he hasn't turned in his keys so I call him and he's in Nacogdoches already. He asks me what he need to turn in so his name will be clear and I say your pro-rated rent, keys and some gerbera daisies would be nice. Well the next morning I check the drop box and he turned in the keys and rent but no flowers. Today I get back from court and I have flowers on my desk and that card. What should I take from this? Just a nice guy? blllllaaaa

As a nursery employee, I have this to say: Gerbera daisies make me crazy—the plants do a sudden-dying act like no other plant. Once one corner of a leaf wilts, it's all over. Don't bother watering, feeding, nada. Throw it into the compost.

As an ILXor I have THIS to say: how do you pronounce "Nacogdoches?"

And also this: you should marry this guy.

Beth Parker, Wednesday, 12 August 2009 01:21 (sixteen years ago)

It's pronounced Nak O doe chess annnnd I know right... how dreamy! But was it just a thoughtful notion since i did sort of save him from lots of money problems???

don't let that man out of your life, sunny river

velko, Wednesday, 12 August 2009 02:15 (sixteen years ago)

He is just so far away and I don't want to come off too strong... He said that he makes a trip to Beaumont at lease once a week I wonder why he hasn't called if that's the case. I know that his main trainer person is in Beaumont so it makes sense.

Sunny River, Wednesday, 12 August 2009 02:21 (sixteen years ago)

main trainer?

velko, Wednesday, 12 August 2009 02:25 (sixteen years ago)

I was trying to avoid this part..... He opened a gym in Nacogdoches . Royce Gracie mixed martial arts kind of thing and the person who is his trainer lives here so he has to report to him.

Sunny River, Wednesday, 12 August 2009 02:28 (sixteen years ago)

sounds like you are pretty interested!

velko, Wednesday, 12 August 2009 02:41 (sixteen years ago)

He woo'd me!! I just don't know how to react

Sunny River, Wednesday, 12 August 2009 02:47 (sixteen years ago)

just meet him for a drink or dinner, no biggie

velko, Wednesday, 12 August 2009 02:54 (sixteen years ago)

Have you at least thanked him for the flowers? If not use that as a way to asked when he will be back in beaumont.
