At one point L-L-B took them to a shop in North London that seems to specialise in repro 60s clothes and furniture, but I didn't quite catch the name. Anyone know? Do they have a website? It looked awesome - totally swish white minimalist interior, racks upon racks of 60s frocks and run by a tall, thin guy with floppy dark hair. I'm sure I can't afford anything there, but I wanted to check it out next time I'm down in March.

careful now, Elisabeth - Vicki Tavener (whose house it was) reads ILX!

Sorry Mark, but it's not like I know her - or that I can keep up with every single person who reads/posts on ILX for that matter. Perhaps the editing didn't do them any favours.

elisabeth, there is also a pop boutique (like the one in manchester) in monmouth street and another similarly themed (and newer) shop next door (what used to be Ray's?) (ha! house of retro: http://www.streetsensation.co.uk/covent/ms_west.htm)

I've been to the London Cafe Pop - it seemed to sell nothing but their own brand of cords and t-shirts. The Manchester shop is going that way, too. A shame! Good cheese on toast in the basement - the cafe has moved downstairs. Bloody awful cappuccino.
Lara, if you can think of the name (i.e. in the middle of the night) be sure to post it later! I would die for one of those white Twinkle-esque double breasted suits. And a pair of white ankle Shangri La boots - any of the originals I've bought on eBay crumbled from age.
I wouldn't have had all of the items in the living room, but certain pieces were cool. Those blue lights in the garden looked ridiculous next to a children's playset though.
As for the couple, the show did not play up their personalities very well. All they seemed to do was moan about the children's playset and the hedges. They just seemed a bit...there. I couldn't get excited for them! It would have been more interesting to have a couple who had no money and were trying to live the lifestyle on a shoestring by buying knackered old Eames sofas from car boots - and were finally rewarded for their dedication.
