This is a generalised version of amateur press associations. I've been in a few: 30 of us make a zine each (anything on paper - writing, art, photos, comics, whatever), 30 copies, send centrally, get a pack with one of each back. It was fun.

I think we each just make one thing, right? All mail it to the same place. Person in charge resends everything to different addresses? So, in the end you get ONE thing in the mail from some ILXor somewhere? How would we handle the postage that the person in charge has to deal with? Maybe we each send in our one thing with some small charge (I don't know, $5 or less?).

Should we shoot for smallish boxes? For those in the US I'm thinking the priority mail size box. (roughly 11"x8"x3") If everyone can fit their 13 items in such a box then we should be good. (and i guess just include the postage rather than another box)

this seems complicated but once we pull it off it will be worth it i think.

Do we send everything to one person, and they make packs to send back out to all of us? (sorry, I'm being a bit slow today)

If so, I don't mind being the person co-ordinating it all. Or alternatively, I'll send a donation to whoever does all the sorting out, to help with postage and packaging costs.

Or do we each send our twenty things individually to the 20 people on the list? my brane hurtz.

If someone has signed up on this board and not gotten a note from me then they need to wait for the next round. This one has started and those 13 who did get notice are due to send their items in to me by 3/10. Er, good point about the 13-getting one back thing. Does anyone in the UK have an idea of how long it takes for a package to get here? I'm asking b/c Jel's has not arrived and I'm beginning to think it might have to be written off as lost. :(
