I Pulled A Homer

So I wasn't going to bother checking my exam results today cos I knew I'd failed microeconomics and didn't want the confirmation to annoy me all weekend. See I knew I'd failed but finding out is always annoying.

Anyway temptation got the better of me and I checked and I got a 40! I can't believe I did this and can only conclude other people did really awfully, this has set me up for an amazing weekend, the demand curve for drugs and alcohol is about to soar.

Maybe microeconomics is just undemanding if you treat the exam in a certain Ronan Fitzgerald-ish way. A four sentence description of microeconomics aswell, please.

I have no idea, study of small markets, my retention is useless and I learned nothing. I guess now I'm one of those annoying people who say they failed when they didn't.

Could someone come up with some ironic (and relaxed) "you're so self-obsessed, you've got some nerve" type post? Yo.

I thought about doing it myself and beating people to the punch but I can take it from someone else.

THe "failed" delusion only works if you're a microeconomics genius though (which shouldn't be ruled out entirely).

is anyone truly a microeconomics genius, isn't it just about a love, a love for the more microscopic aspects of economics?

Ronan (Ronan), Saturday, 15 February 2003 01:47 (twenty-three years ago)

Is microeconomics what you want to see more of on ILE? I suggest the board solely becomes discussion of microeconomics and Joan Fontaine.

Ronan (Ronan), Saturday, 15 February 2003 02:01 (twenty-three years ago)

That's would be the dullest message board ever!

What does a 40 =? Anyway, congrats Ronan, have a good weekend.

Mary (Mary), Saturday, 15 February 2003 03:06 (twenty-three years ago)

yeah this happened with one exam in my second year of my degree. I did very well on the coursework but due to laziness I only revised bits of the course two days before the exam. The coursework really saved me.
