NOOOO!!!!!!

nabisco (nabisco), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:03 (twenty-three years ago)

Makes for a good t-shirt.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:04 (twenty-three years ago)

It looks like I've got an ET-neck in that picture.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:05 (twenty-three years ago)

ET Neck.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:06 (twenty-three years ago)

We need to combine this vision with the ultimate ILX logo of some sort, then sell that T-shirt and get rich.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:06 (twenty-three years ago)

guys! that car is about to hit you! put your damn thumbs down and run!

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:07 (twenty-three years ago)

Ned in leather-jacket SHOCKAH!

Dan in eyes-what-look-totally-stoned SHOCKAH!

shockah SHOCKAH!!

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:08 (twenty-three years ago)

kitt not photoshopped to be driven by kittens = the best is yet to come surely?

mark s (mark s), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:09 (twenty-three years ago)

Dan, don't give me ideas of you and little elliot.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:09 (twenty-three years ago)

Haha Mark WHERE IS NO-HANDS?????

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:10 (twenty-three years ago)

What's up with the dude in the poncho?

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:11 (twenty-three years ago)

That's Nickalicious getting ready to ride the range.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:11 (twenty-three years ago)

ET-neck

E-Teaneck, or East Teaneck, New Jersey

It's all making sense now...

Skottie, Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:24 (twenty-three years ago)

THAT makes sense?

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:34 (twenty-three years ago)

Well, no, but if you put a pancho on it, it's ready to ride the range.

Skottie, Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:35 (twenty-three years ago)

Do people really wear poncho's?

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:37 (twenty-three years ago)

No, it's just an illusion done w/mirrors

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:37 (twenty-three years ago)

I actually own and occasionally wear a "poncho" like that (although I generally just call it "My Drug-Rug", and it's usually only brought out of the closet for the most hippy-leaning of functions...field parties & Phish shows and whatnot.)

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:38 (twenty-three years ago)

http://members.aol.com/dubplatestyle/slothhoff.jpg

jess (dubplatestyle), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:39 (twenty-three years ago)

There, see, I was right!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:39 (twenty-three years ago)

FIELD PARTIES & PHISH SHOWS? Oh my god.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:40 (twenty-three years ago)

It's like shooting Phish in a barrel.

Skottie, Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:41 (twenty-three years ago)

If your serious about Phish shows, we can no longer have a George Benson dance-off.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:45 (twenty-three years ago)

Wow, let my hippy past show and suddenly everyone's got a massive hate-on for the nickalicious!

Eh, whatever, I'll still cherish my memories of Phish shows past...the drum circles, the good drugs, the girls what actually talk to me rather than just ignore me all aloofly, etc.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:47 (twenty-three years ago)

they only talked to you cuz of the good drugs

*runs out of room*

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:48 (twenty-three years ago)

DRUM CIRCLES?!

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:49 (twenty-three years ago)

"hey, i've been safarian since before you were born"

jess (dubplatestyle), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:49 (twenty-three years ago)

Not enough people are talking about what Jess did up there.

mark p (Mark P), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:50 (twenty-three years ago)

Damnit Oops for being so OTM! GRRR!

"drum circles" obv does not = "cool"

But since when has "cool" been something I aspired to?

And I've specifically trying to avoid discussing (or scrolling over) what jess did. My brain hurts from it.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:51 (twenty-three years ago)

Don't forget the Birkenstocks and grilled cheese. No hate, for the hippylicious. Hey man, I liked the Spin Doctors in high school.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:52 (twenty-three years ago)

mitch did that mark, i can't take credit.

jess (dubplatestyle), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:52 (twenty-three years ago)

jess made me poop.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:53 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm laughing just thinking about that thing. And laughing hurts. It hurts so much.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:54 (twenty-three years ago)

(Now part of me wants to go stomp on some mellow dope-smoking grilled-cheese-eating long-hairs to the tune of The Dead Milkmen's "The Thing That Only Eats Hippies" fully clad from head-to-toe in trendy garage-rock garb straight from the pages of Spin in order to atone my soul's inner imbalance of uncoolness.)

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:55 (twenty-three years ago)

it looks like there is a tird on the sloths face? is that really his snout?

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:56 (twenty-three years ago)

Long hairs! Haha, Nick I'm so lying to you. I was once a hippy too. Yes, Phish, and dope and shrooms and acid and peyote and birks...then I had a real bad break up with a hippy-chick in 1994 and denounced all hippyism since.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:57 (twenty-three years ago)

(it was based on a co-developed idea tho jess. and i'd like to add that mark p is like my biggest photoshop fan, he rulez)

mitch lastnamewithheld (mitchlnw), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 20:01 (twenty-three years ago)

hippies are like the French.
they're peace-loving and smelly, and everyone hates them for this.

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 20:01 (twenty-three years ago)

ARGH! YOU ARE ALL HIPPIES IN HIDING! I AM SURROUNDED BY HIPPIES!

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 20:05 (twenty-three years ago)

pleasehave some cheese

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 20:07 (twenty-three years ago)

Thanks a lot, jess. That sloth-head is gonna give me nightmares.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 20:09 (twenty-three years ago)

(sexy nightmares) ha ha

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 20:09 (twenty-three years ago)

Ally, rent "Wall Street" and calm yourself down!

oh god...I just had de ja vu. Has anybody posted on ILM asking Ally to rent "Wall Street" before? My brain has just entered a vortex..uhhhh....

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 20:10 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't think that recommending "Wall Street" is that common of a prescription, Anthony.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 20:11 (twenty-three years ago)

Ally, you know that deep down at the very bottom of your soul resides a tiny fragment of hippyness.

Don't you ever get an overwhelming urge to finish your sentences with the word "dude"? Don't you ever get a random craving for a cold veggie burrito? I'm sure that, whenupon hearing the rhythms of the drum circle over the hill, you too would do the "hippy girl shuffle". EMBRACE YOUR INNER HIPPY.

You know, you can't spell "hippy" without the word "hip". :D

(You know I'm joking, right? please please don't hate me)

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 20:17 (twenty-three years ago)

Isn't there a difference between "hippy" and "hippie"? I thought the second one described the crusty peacenik while the first described one with extra hip.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 20:20 (twenty-three years ago)

I think either/or, "hippy" or "hippie", is generally used as an insult anyway.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 20:21 (twenty-three years ago)

tomato, tomahtoe baby

jess (dubplatestyle), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 20:22 (twenty-three years ago)

"Those pants make you look hippy" could have drastically different meanings!

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 20:29 (twenty-three years ago)

I considered myself a hippy for about a year in high school. I think it was mostly cuz I was trying to identify more with my mom. Anyway, I was just wore hippy type clothes and jewelry and said Life was beautiful all the time (and was a wee bit into environmentalism). Never did the pot/ PHISH thing though.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 20:30 (twenty-three years ago)

(Did you also have boomin' hips?)

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 20:32 (twenty-three years ago)

My momma always said, "Sarah, you've got child-birthin' hips just like your Nanny."

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 20:34 (twenty-three years ago)

i've got child birthing hips

jess (dubplatestyle), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 20:36 (twenty-three years ago)

HIPPY GIRL SHUFFLE? OH MY GOD.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 20:36 (twenty-three years ago)

Next thing you we'll have to accuse Ally of being a secret Levellers fan.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 21:55 (twenty-three years ago)

"I have a big ass (wanna see my Dead collection?)"

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 21:58 (twenty-three years ago)

I may have to make a poster of this picture.

Nicole (Nicole), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 22:05 (twenty-three years ago)

I was going to make a sarcastic crack about the Levellers but realized that I can't remember anything about them or their songs, so unfortunately my wit is thwarted. THIS TIME, RAGGETT. THIS TIME.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 22:07 (twenty-three years ago)

*smiles serenely with the peace of the Buddha*

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 22:08 (twenty-three years ago)

There's only one way of life, Ally.

I hope it's not the Ned way...(of course this leads to unfortunate thoughts of Ned's Atomic Dustbin, what with all this talk of early 90s bands)

Nicole (Nicole), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 22:10 (twenty-three years ago)

I hope it's not the Ned way...

Hey, you're mean.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 22:11 (twenty-three years ago)

Hey, you were the one to bring the Levellers into this!

Nicole (Nicole), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 22:12 (twenty-three years ago)

that pic is TOTALLY the universal backlot

chaki (chaki), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 22:13 (twenty-three years ago)

Perhaps, but the Ned way clearly must have some value if the Nediverse is referenced! *pouts, whines*

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 22:15 (twenty-three years ago)

MY LIFE WITH THE THRILL KILL KULT - "Ride The Nedway"

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 22:19 (twenty-three years ago)

Do go on, please.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 22:22 (twenty-three years ago)

Strange days, strange nights
Daydreaming STRAIGHT FROM THE PAST
Night falls, we go back to sleep
Change ourselves into AMIABLE LONG-HAIRED DUDES WHO WORK AT COLLEGE LIBRARIES!

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 22:24 (twenty-three years ago)

"Ride the Nedway -- Do go on", Raggett urged the crowd.

Nicole (Nicole), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 22:25 (twenty-three years ago)

Nicole, for some reason your post gave me a mental image of Ned wearing Prince's ass-out outfit.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 22:26 (twenty-three years ago)

Well, you didn't have to go and give it to the rest of us!

Nicole (Nicole), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 22:31 (twenty-three years ago)

I think I did.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 22:35 (twenty-three years ago)

"I have a big ass (wanna see my Dead collection?)"

Killing people w/your big ass is one thing, but maintaing a collection is just wrong

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 22:41 (twenty-three years ago)

But they're Grateful Dead! Their last words were "HOORAY thank you for crushing me with your enormous ass urk."

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 22:44 (twenty-three years ago)

*Principal Skinner voice*
Well then...carry on

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 22:45 (twenty-three years ago)

I think I did.

And for that I thank you.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 22:55 (twenty-three years ago)

You know, I need to never read ILX again.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 22:59 (twenty-three years ago)

:-(

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 23:00 (twenty-three years ago)

(she'll be back)

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 23:03 (twenty-three years ago)

I CAN RESIST THE HASSLESLOTH!

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 23:12 (twenty-three years ago)

(told ya)

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 23:17 (twenty-three years ago)

Ned's! Atomic! Dustbin!

Guess whether or not I'm banging my head and playing air-bass. Go on, guess.

nabisco (nabisco), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 23:18 (twenty-three years ago)

KILL! YOUR! Etc.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 23:20 (twenty-three years ago)
