I've recently broken up with my bf and now sitting here listening to certain songs, I can recall some really good times. Tell me about some of yours, mood, music, laughter, tears...whatever.

I guess I have also never properly introduced myself either. I'm Simona, 27 live in Vermont now. Used to live in Boston. I like all kinds of music. Hi!

(Aw, I wish this wasn't a breakup nostalgia thread because I wanted the first post to be an "I can't remember" joke.)

Hope your ok. Anyways, college girlfriend...we'll call her douchebag. But she wasn't then, I was crazy in love with her. I thought she was crazy in love with me too. But the moments I remember most were the simpler ones, just sitting in each others rooms and listening to music. Thats why I still hold a small place in my heart for all that is Toad The Wet Sprocket. I hear their songs today and they make me think. But i'm in a much better place now. With a much better woman.

Oh and she also gave me a handjob to "Year of The Cat" by Al Stewart, which I'll never forget.

I'd rather at least try and forget about it.

Hmmm... When I was 17 I had a rather melodramatic and extremely brief relationship with a friend of mine. We were always just friends and then one day (at my going away party no less/ I was moving several states away) we hugged and it seemed to be so much more there. Then it turned out I wouldn't be leaving for a couple more weeks and we spent that time together being all mushy and bittersweet.

He was working at the local college for the summer and my mom taught there, so I hung out with him on his breaks. One particularly gorgeous day, we walked out to this patch of green that was almost completely surrounded by a man-made lake. We sat in the grass and just played with wildflowers, held hands, and looked at the clouds.

If I tell you all about it here, she'll self-google and find out I still think about it alot and probably get totally creeped out.

On a morning from a Bogart movie in a country where they turn back time....

I brought my ex girlfriend to orgasm during a 2pm showing of Toy Story 2. The 6 year old in the seat in front of her turned round and told her to stop kicking the chair.

I suspect this thread has proved a disappointment to Simona.

does it have to have been with a partner? i don't really remember those sort of things. the most unforgettable time i've spent was the weekend in Sydney we were mastering our LP.. i don't think i've been drunker and/or happier before or since..

This new years eve just passed was pretty fabulous. Drugs were involved, so maybe that's cheating, but it was the most perfick NYs I've ever had, and most of it was in a room with one other person, listening to records. Filed under "special night" thats for sure.

One of the best weekends I had with my girlfriend was when we were broken up for a bit, actually. We were on the upswing and spent a weekend just hanging out, cooking, driving around Wisconsin and doing geeky things...I took her to GenCon to meet a few people she likes, went to the House on the Rock, etc.

same here, but there was a time, with a girl who broke my heart, that i still try not to dwell upon so much, because it makes me fall in love with her, or the idea of her, a little all over again. so i'm not going to share it... i'm getting wiser in my old age.
