you can import from the States tho surely - assuming your VCR has NTSC playback option or you have mutli-region DVD?

Paramount UK have been showing Bill Plympton shorts late night recently, i dont know if thats what motivated you to wanna buy the video or not tho

plympton = k-classic

a friend bought "the tune" on vhs from a fairly mainstream uk-based online shop a few years ago, i'll check which one it was and look for it but don't get yr hopes up on that front because i wanted to buy "so i married a strange person" and they didn't have that

plymptoons = new stuff? old stuff? both? love the scratchy wobbly surreality of the old stuff (especially the slapstick^1000 routines like the fight scene from "the tune" and most of "so i married...") but the newer flash animations he's put up on his website more recently have mostly left me cold. yes, i could check the site for more details but i'm pretending to work, noreally...

On Friday August 4th, Academy Award-nominated animator and
Portland native Bill Plympton will be making a live appearance at the
Mission Theater and Pub, 1624 N.W. Glisan Street in Portland, to
introduce a brand new, beautiful 35mm print of his latest animated
feature film "Hair High." Preceding the feature, Bill will screen
his Oscar-nominated short film "Guard Dog" along with a special
preview of the brand-new unreleased sequel "Guide Dog."

A special digital video print of "Hair High" was screened in
Portland in 2004, shortly after Bill Plympton wrapped up production
in New York. The one-night premiere event filled McMenamin's Crystal
Ballroom with a standing-room-only crowd. With this in mind, Bill
recommends that anyone interested in the Friday evening show arrive
early.

Friday evening's events will kick off a two week run of "Hair
High" at the Mission Theater. "Hair High" is a full-length animated
feature loosely based on Bill's experiences as an Oregon City High
School Student during the late 1950's, but with the added absurdist
element of zombie skeletons crashing a senior prom. Celebrity voice
talent includes Martha Plimpton, Sarah Silverman, Keith Carradine,
David Carradine, Dermot Mulroney, and Matt Groening.

In keeping with the theme of the film, Bill will be joined at
Friday's event by cast members, plus a six foot chicken mascot and
official "Hair High" cheerleaders. Throughout the evening there will
be a contest and prizes. All attendees at the Friday evening show
will receive a free autographed Bill Plympton drawing. Anyone who
arrives in zombie costume and/or makeup will receive an official
Plymptoons door prize. Admission price for Friday's event is five
dollars. Doors open at 7:15pm and the show begins at 8pm.

Kristin Thompson returns to Comicon and sorta buries one of the ledes: "Plympton’s films have been hard to find online, but this fall they will become available on Source HD: 'It’s the entire catalog, everything I’ve ever done.' That includes about 60 shorts. As a result of this online exposure, he says, 'I expect that when I come back to San Diego next year they’re going to have to give me one of those huge 2000-seat rooms.'”

Now to figure out what Source HD is.
