It's horrible! Where does it come from, this is ridiculous, I only cleaned my mouse mat last weekend, and it's already starting to reform! It's Alive!

Well, I'm going to bed now, so if you can throw any light on this situation whilst I slumber, I shall be grateful.

Your Friend,

jel,

I was very alarmed at this thread until I realized that UK:US::mouse mat:mouse pad. I was thinking of very weird things.

your pal,

felicity

Oh dear, it seems to have multiplied over night. It will soon be the Mouse Mat Mold That Ate West London. Perhaps I shall have to take drastic action, or hope that a local boffin invents an anti-mold. Thank you for your concern Felicity.

throw it out and buy a new one. Or nick one. They're not expensive are they?

Funnily enough I just noticed lots of specks of mould on my Hello Kitty mouse mat at work.

If my Peter Kay one develops some I will be very unhappy.

Mouse mat, mouse pad, mold, mould...

i use an motion-sensor mouse straight on the desktop (no pad/mat) - no more mould problems, and no having to clean the ball/sensors inside the mouse either

make motion mouse mission, mr.

it's like the fluff in boy's belly buttons, which is a bit like the stuff in clothes dryers.

Clare (not entirely unhappy), Monday, 3 March 2003 02:44 (twenty-three years ago)

Clare, I refuse to believe that fluff formation is sexually determined!

Clare was probably making an empirical observation.

I've been mouse pad-less for a couple of months now. My old one said the name of the last company on it, so it wasn't v appropriate. Where can I find a cool one? Nothing too weird for the office though...

My house was infested with balls of kitty hair. Kind of like big rolling dust balls in the desert. I went on a vacuuming/dustbustering rampage yesterday though, so I'll be safe for a little while.

My mouse pad/mat is a wonderful image of the partially completed Death Star. It went over quite well when I was full-time at the Space Center. Almost as well as my little Yoda figurine that we used as a shrine.

optical mouses are the coolest thing to happen to comptuers since SVGA.

dear jel,

have you tried Exit Mould? You just spray it on and wipe it off.( "mould" = nz spelling)
