My sister and I.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 17 March 2003 20:51 (twenty-three years ago)

which one are you?

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 17 March 2003 20:55 (twenty-three years ago)

which one are you?

Either way, if that's your most embarassing childhood photo, then I can't post any of mine! (I can't anyway cuz my scanner isn't connected properly, but anyway...)

Sarah McLusky (coco), Monday, 17 March 2003 20:56 (twenty-three years ago)

oh damn i have TONS at home of me rocking various shades of brown

somehow it made my monumental head look even bigger

mark p (Mark P), Monday, 17 March 2003 20:57 (twenty-three years ago)

That's not embarrassing. Every picture my parents took of me when I was little, I was either naked or eating a chicken bone. Call it the whimsy of a Chinese mother.

Carey (Carey), Monday, 17 March 2003 20:58 (twenty-three years ago)

The older one. My sister is the darker skinned one.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 17 March 2003 20:59 (twenty-three years ago)

Hahahahaha I like how I look like I'm all ready to flash someone, even at age 7. My sister looks stunned. I think this is still what most pictures of me look like.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 17 March 2003 21:01 (twenty-three years ago)

Carey, did she ever take a picture of you with a cabbage for a head? (either naked or eating a chicken bone?)

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Monday, 17 March 2003 21:02 (twenty-three years ago)

By the way, please don't let this turn into a naked baby photos thread! Just embarassing! Like this

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Monday, 17 March 2003 21:06 (twenty-three years ago)

I have naked childhood pics too but I"m not going to post them up.

You know what else is weird about that picture, just to blabber until someone else offers up pictures, is that my hair is like just short of black in that picture - last time I let my hair grow out from being dyed, however, it was dark blonde. How could this be? Indeed, the rest of these pics, I've got blonde hair. DID MY MOM DYE MY HAIR FOR SOME WEIRD REASON WHEN I WAS 7???? If someone can provide an answer I will be greatful because I'm worried a bit right now.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 17 March 2003 21:06 (twenty-three years ago)

The Nipper with sister and robot friend.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Monday, 17 March 2003 21:06 (twenty-three years ago)

no fair, why did you get to have a pet robot.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 17 March 2003 21:08 (twenty-three years ago)

No Sean, my mother preferred to use the cabbages for food, especially since the only things I would eat until the age of 10 was spinach, cabbage, rice and grilled cheese. I didn't even like chocolate. Oddly enough I have no clue why there are so many pictures of me as a baby with a chicken bone and chicken bits all over my face. I think Chinese moms used to use this as some sort of pacifier.

Carey (Carey), Monday, 17 March 2003 21:35 (twenty-three years ago)

This is the only photo I can find of tiny CJ at the moment, and it's rather damaged. Still, here it is:

C J (C J), Monday, 17 March 2003 21:41 (twenty-three years ago)

Aw, what a cute red x!

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 17 March 2003 21:55 (twenty-three years ago)

Awww, even without the cabbage head, you're still my hero, Carey.

mark p (Mark P), Monday, 17 March 2003 22:02 (twenty-three years ago)

Good thing they left the carrot in sight... I was getting worried.

Carey (Carey), Monday, 17 March 2003 22:10 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm going to feel obligated if I ever move to an ILXr city to never be seen without a cabbage head.

Carey (Carey), Monday, 17 March 2003 22:11 (twenty-three years ago)

http://www.angelfire.com/ak/superfreedworld/images/age10.gif

Look at my garage band hair! I still dress sorta the same.

jel -- (jel), Monday, 17 March 2003 22:18 (twenty-three years ago)

Jel, you look like Harry Potter there. Stop it.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Monday, 17 March 2003 22:20 (twenty-three years ago)

You should photoshop in a huge thatch of chest hair.

Carey (Carey), Monday, 17 March 2003 22:23 (twenty-three years ago)

Jel still looks like Harry Potter!

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 17 March 2003 22:34 (twenty-three years ago)

That's me on the right with the pimped out bowl cut and my arm around the Rott bitch.

bnw (bnw), Monday, 17 March 2003 22:51 (twenty-three years ago)

Not really embarrassing, but hey - see if you can spot me.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 17 March 2003 23:39 (twenty-three years ago)

The blonde in the top right or Mr. Plaidpants in row 2. (nb I have no idea what you look like now!)

Aaron A., Monday, 17 March 2003 23:43 (twenty-three years ago)

I wish I did have those plaidpants. And that collar is hot! I can't remember his name but yeah he looks very cool.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 17 March 2003 23:50 (twenty-three years ago)

What I looked like on Saturday

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 17 March 2003 23:56 (twenty-three years ago)

I did not click to say I was offended by the photo! : - D

There is one embarrassing photo of my brother and I which sits in the family room. It is a professional photo. And he seems to be straddling me in an ungainly fashion. : - o

S Samson, Tuesday, 18 March 2003 00:01 (twenty-three years ago)

I can't get the pic to load N., but can I have another guess? It's not garagerock hair + Fred Perry is it?

Aaron A., Tuesday, 18 March 2003 00:01 (twenty-three years ago)

I think I have the same collar as a child as Mr Plaid Pants!

S Samson, Tuesday, 18 March 2003 00:04 (twenty-three years ago)

No Aaron, but he is standing next to one of my sisters.

I wonder why you can't get the Saturday picture to load. You should be able to get to from the link under the school photo too.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 18 March 2003 00:18 (twenty-three years ago)

btw that was our entire school

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 18 March 2003 00:24 (twenty-three years ago)

It's the really annoying looking one on the end of the bottom row on the left hand side.

nabisco (nabisco), Tuesday, 18 March 2003 02:57 (twenty-three years ago)

Well, I wasn't technically a child when this photo was taken (last summer), but I was certainly reverting back to several repressed emotions long plaguing my psyche since childhood, primarily regarding my abject lack of any athletic skills whatsoever.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Tuesday, 18 March 2003 16:46 (twenty-three years ago)

You're rocking the Russell Crowe look in that picture!

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 18 March 2003 16:55 (twenty-three years ago)

Having just now seen this thread -- there were guesses as to which was one was Ally? That smile alone is a giveaway!

Meanwhile, Sean was a cute little girl. (Okay, I'll stop.)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 18 March 2003 16:55 (twenty-three years ago)

I hate you, Ned.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Tuesday, 18 March 2003 17:15 (twenty-three years ago)

Hey, YOU'RE the one who posted them.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 18 March 2003 17:19 (twenty-three years ago)

N. proves to look completely unlike what I thought he looked like!

(Are you in the light blue shirt with the big collar?)

Chris P (Chris P), Tuesday, 18 March 2003 20:17 (twenty-three years ago)

You're rocking the Russell Crowe look in that picture!

Au contraire! That cranky Aussie stole MY otherwise completely ill-advised facial hair aesthetic!

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Tuesday, 18 March 2003 20:54 (twenty-three years ago)

Carey, you have a Chinese mom too? I swear, there's like a store where you can get them or sommat.

Leee (Leee), Tuesday, 18 March 2003 22:41 (twenty-three years ago)

No, dastoor's the one right NEXT to the one in the light blue shirt - sandwiched between him and the other light blue shirt - the posture gives him away!

(of course I'm wrong and now I will be corrected and look dumb but it will be worth it just to be able to stop guessing)

Millar (Millar), Tuesday, 18 March 2003 23:55 (twenty-three years ago)

She came with the cabbage.

Carey (Carey), Tuesday, 18 March 2003 23:56 (twenty-three years ago)

Chinese Mom Mart

Millar (Millar), Wednesday, 19 March 2003 00:01 (twenty-three years ago)

You know what, my mom is actually from Taiwan, my dad has some explaining to do.

Carey (Carey), Wednesday, 19 March 2003 00:30 (twenty-three years ago)

Nicole was right, alas.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 19 March 2003 01:04 (twenty-three years ago)

The annoying factor was a dead giveaway.

Nicole (Nicole), Wednesday, 19 March 2003 01:09 (twenty-three years ago)

I really am at a loss to see how I could be annoying anyone just sitting there.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 19 March 2003 01:13 (twenty-three years ago)

Heed Nicole's words, she knows you all too well.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 March 2003 01:16 (twenty-three years ago)

The exciting news is that I have figured out how to save things to my webspace and can now post all sorts of pictures. For instance, this, as a prize for Nicole:

http://rarara.v21hosting.co.uk/photos/icecream.jpg

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 19 March 2003 01:27 (twenty-three years ago)

You, George Michael beard stubble and an questionable act of intimate congress with an ice cream cone = Nicole heaven! She'll thank you once she is able to release your neck from her hands.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 March 2003 01:39 (twenty-three years ago)

Kiss my blurry ass, ILX!

Arthur (Arthur), Wednesday, 19 March 2003 03:56 (twenty-three years ago)

WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO THAT ICE CREAM N?!?!?!?!

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 19 March 2003 04:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Things he's not proud of, clearly.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 March 2003 06:48 (twenty-three years ago)

Arthur, your link doesn't seem to work.

Chris P (Chris P), Wednesday, 19 March 2003 06:55 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh, it was just some blurry photo of me as a toddler bending over and looking through my legs. Maybe this'll work.

Arthur (Arthur), Wednesday, 19 March 2003 07:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Hooray. These things always seem to turn into the dreaded red x after a half hour or so, though.

Arthur (Arthur), Wednesday, 19 March 2003 07:01 (twenty-three years ago)

And while I'm at it, here's me as a superprissy 1st grader...

Me. Seven years old in Switerland.

http://www.quartzcity.net/~chris/images/ckb_matterhorn73.jpg

Nothing particularly embarassing about it, except that I'm so obviously trying to strike that "International Man Of Mystery" look.
