firstly, i made a cdr compilation of my favourite francois de roubaix songs, which i gave to a few people here but without tracklisting. so, for those people here is the tracklisting, with the films that each song comes from

secondly, has anyone actually seen any of these films? i havent seen any of them, where would i be able to see such films?

He did the music for Le Samourai (1967), which though not as good as say Touch of Evil or The Third Man, is the best French film-noir I have seen. He also did some Hammer horror soundtracks for movies that I am sure are available on VHS (though I'm not sure if they are still in print).

I'm not sure where you would purchase his other movies (ebay?, Amazon.fr?), but there are at least a handfull of video/dvd rental places that are likely to have some of these titles if they were ever transferred (in Portland we are blessed with Movie Madness which is always voted 'best video rental store' in the U.S., although there is a little place in North Hollywood that supposedly has an even bigger selection).

Ohh The Samourai is good. That was the film where I had my Alain Deloin epiphany.

this is seriously amazing. thanks. i've had two chapi chapo mp3s on my computer for months that i've been listening too. it's great to hear more stuff.

i've heard some of this stuff sampled somewhere, but i can't think of where.
