So is it every straight man's fantasy to be his Hef-ness or is he just an old plonker with a stiffy?

I read Bunny, and he sounded kind of pathetic - never being able to go anywhere, always in his pajamas - kind of Howard Hughes lite.

I think he's a feminist. He clearly prefers female company to male company, pays women well and has helped launch many prosperous female careers. What else do you need to be to be a feminist? No wonder he has all these women wanting a shot, he's very much a 'rights for women' type!!!

Kerry, what's "Bunny", book about Hefner or maybe autobiography of one of his models? Sounds interesting, please tell more.

"Bunny" is the bio of Hef by Russell Miller (who also wrote "Bare-Faced Messiah" about L. Ron Hubbard - also recommended). It's kind of an expose. Hef doesn't come off as evil in the book, just sort of sad and living in a fantasy world.

thanks for the tips, Kerry, I'll look out for both of these.

I don't think I'd wanna be Hef. There'd be far too much dishonesty involved, at least for me. I'm not equipped to be that mellow etc.

I loved Patton Oswalt's tweet this weekend, "I can't wait until I'm 60 when I can think that somewhere out there my future wife is being born"

I wonder what Hef's kids are like. Probably like little Alex P Keatons that think sex is gross
